«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է․ «Այս օրերին ՀՀԿ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը գրեթե ամենօրյա ռեժիմով այցելում է կուսակցության գրասենյակ, հանդիպումներ ունենում տարբեր մարդկանց հետ: Ինչպես պնդում են «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի աղբյուրները, այդ հանդիպումների ժամանակ նա քննարկումներ է բացում ամենատարբեր թեմաների շուրջ, լսում տեսակետներ, ինքն է կարծիք հայտնում, բայց իր գործողությունների եւ պլանների մասին որեւէ մեկի հետ չի կիսվում: ՀՀԿ կազմակերպչական հանձնաժողովի անդամ Ռուբեն Թադեւոսյանը «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի հետ զրույցում հաստատեց, որ Սերժ Սարգսյանը՝ որպես կուսակցության ղեկավար, հաճախակի է այցելում Մելիք-Ադամյանում տեղակայված գրասենյակ եւ տարբեր հանդիպումներ ունենում: Սակայն պարոն Թադեւոսյանն այդ հանդիպումների մասին մանրամասներ չցանկացավ հայտնել:

Նկատենք, որ շատերին Ս.Սարգսյանի այս հանդիպումների շարքը հիմք է տվել ենթադրելու, որ նա, այնուամենայնիվ, իշխանության ղեկին վերադառնալու ուղիներ է փնտրում, մանավանդ, երբ օրենսդիրում իշխանությունը դեռ ՀՀԿ ձեռքին է. այստեղ նրանք ունեն կոճակային մեծամասնություն:

Մինչ այդ մեկ ուշագրավ փաստ էլ. եթե վարչապետի պաշտոնից Սերժ Սարգսյանի հրաժարականից հետո խոսվում էր նաեւ ՀՀԿ նախագահի պաշտոնից նրա հեռանալու մասին, նաեւ նշվում էր, որ կուսակցության ղեկավար դառնալու է ՀՀԿ առաջին փոխվարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանը, ապա հիմա այս հարցն օրակարգից ընդհանրապես դուրս է եկել: Ավելին` քաղաքական հայտնի իրադարձություններից հետո Կարեն Կարապետյանն այս օրերին իրեն ՀՀԿ-ից ակնհայտ հեռու է պահում, առհասարակ չի շփվում կուսակիցների հետ եւ անգամ բացակայել է Գործադիր մարմնի վերջին նիստից»:
