Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովըչի ցանկանում գնահատական տալ Հայաստանի Պետական պահպանության ծառայության պետի նախկին առաջին տեղակալ Վաչագան Ղազարյանի ձերբակալությանը` ընդգծելով, որ չի տիրապետում ամբողջական տեղեկատվության և նախընտրում է սպասել նախաքննության ավարտին: Ազգային ժողովում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն ընդգծեց, որ քննություն է ընթանում, և, քննությանը չմիջամտելու շահերից ելնելով, ինքը մեկնաբանություն չի ցանկանում անել: «Սպասենք նախաքննությունն ավարտվի, տեսնենք, թե ինչ կլինի»,- «Արմենպրես»–ի հաղորդմամբ` նշեց Շարմազանովը:

Հարցին` իր մոտ հարցեր չի՞ առաջացնում այն, որ Վաչագան Ղազարյանի մոտ ԱԱԾ-ն այդքան շատ կանխիկ գումար է հայտնաբերել ու ինչո՞ւ իր մոտ այդքան գումար չկա` հաշվի առնելով այն հանգամանքը, որ թե ինքը, թե Վաչագան Ղազարյանը պետական պաշտոն են զբաղեցրել, Շարմազանովը պատասխանեց. «Նախ բերեք հարգենք անմեղության կանխավարկածը: Երկրորդ` ինձ մոտ ինչ կա, հայտարարագրված է: Ինչ գումար ունեմ, հայտարարագրված է: Վաչագան Ղազարյանի հետ կապված և, առհասարակ, բոլոր իրավական խնդիրներին գնահատական չեմ տալիս` չմիջամտելով իրավապահ մարմինների գործողություններին»:

Անդրադառնալով հարցին, թե Վաչագան Ղազարյանի ձերբակալությունը հետապնդում չէ՞, ԱԺ փոխնախագահը կրկին զերծ մնաց գնահատական տալուց: «Չեմ ցանկանում շտապել և որևէ գնահատական հնչեցնել: Չեմ ցանկանում շտապել, որովհետև շտապողականությունը քաղաքական կատեգորիա չէ: Ես կարծում եմ, որ պետք է իրավապահ մարմիններին հնարավորություն տանք ամբողջությամբ իրականացնել քննություն, հարգենք անմեղության կանխավարկածը և կասկածյալին հնարավորություն տանք, որպեսզի նա փաստաբանի միջոցով պաշտպանվի»,- ընդգծեց Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը:

Նա նաև հավելեց, որ մտերիմ հարաբերություններ ունի Վաչագան Ղազարյանի հետ` շեշտելով, երբեք չի խուսափել մտերիմ հարաբերություներից: «Ի վերջո, նա նաև այն մարդն է, ով լուրջ ծառայություններ է մատուցել արցախյան հերոսամարտի տարիներին: Եվ ես ցանկանում եմ կրկնել` ես չեմ ցանկանում խոսել անձերից, մենք պետք է խոսենք երևույթներից: Հենց մենք սկսենք կենտրոնանալ անձերի վրա, մենք տանուլ ենք տալու: Վարչապետն էլ ասում էր, որ չպետք է լինի «վհուկների որս», չպետք է լինեն վենդետաներ և անձերի դեմ պայքար: Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում պետք է փակենք անձերի դեմ պայքարի էջը և պայքարենք վատ երևույթների դեմ, Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում պետք է բացառվեն մերժողականությունը, քաղաքական նիհիլիզմը և ընտրողաբար արդարադատությունը: Ընտրողաբար արդարադատությունն ամենամեծ վտանգներից մեկն է, որը կարող է սպառնալ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանը՝ կոռուպցիայի և անարդարության հետ մեկտեղ: Դրա համար պետք է խոսենք բացառապես երևույթներից»,- ընդգծեց ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահը:
