ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Արա Բաբլոյանը հուլիսի 17-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանում Եգիպտոսի Արաբական Հանրապետության արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Թարեք Իբրահիմ Մուհամմադ Մաաթիին, ով խորհրդարան էր այցելել դիվանագիտական առաքելության ավարտի կապակցությամբ:

Ողջունելով հյուրին` ԱԺ նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել դեսպանին հայ-եգիպտական հարաբերությունների զարգացմանն ուղղված ջանքերի համար եւ հաջողություններ մաղթել հետագա աշխատանքում:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ լրատվության և հանրային կապերի վարչությունից, Արա Բաբլոյանը, ընդգծելով երկու ժողովուրդների միջեւ բարեկամության պատմական ավանդույթներն ու ընդհանրությունները, կարեւորել է արդյունավետ համագործակցության զարգացումը տարբեր ոլորտներում:

Երկու պետությունների հարաբերությունների խորացման հարցում օրենսդիր մարմնի ղեկավարն արժեւորել է միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցության ակտիվացումը:

ԱԺ նախագահն իր երախտագիտությունն է հայտնել Եգիպտոսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատին Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման եւ դատապարտման ուղղությամբ կատարվող աշխատանքների համար:

Անդրադառնալով տարածաշրջանային խնդիրներին` խորհրդարանի ղեկավարը բարձր է գնահատել Եգիպտոսի հավասարակշռված դիրքորոշումը Հայաստանի համար կարեւորագույն հարցերում:

Արա Բաբլոյանը խոսել է նաեւ Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած վերջին իրադարձությունների մասին: Նա հույս է հայտնել, որ երկկողմ բարեկամական հարաբերությունները շարունակական կլինեն:

Թարեք Իբրահիմ Մուհամմադ Մաաթիին, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ խոսքերի համար, նշել է, որ մեր երկրից հեռանում է լավ հիշողություններով՝ մշտապես մնալով Հայաստանի բարեկամը: Նա համոզմունք է հայտնել, որ երկկողմ բազմադարյա կապերը կշարունակեն առավել զարգանալ  ու ամրապնդվել:

Դեսպանի խոսքով՝ հայ-եգիպտական հարաբերություններն առավել սերտացել են Եգիպտոսի հայ համայնքի շնորհիվ, որը մեծ դեր ունի երկրի զարգացման հարցում:
