Ամբողջ Եվրոպայով ձգվում են հազարամյա թունելներ, որոնք միացնում են Հյուսիսային Շոտլանդիան միջերկրական ծովին:

Որոշ փորձագետների կարծիքով` դրանք եղել են գիշատիչներից պաշտպանվելու հնագույն տարբերակ մարդկանց համար:
