Օգոստոսի 4-ին բռնցքամարտի ֆեդերացիայում տեղի ունեցան ֆեդերացիայի նախագահի ընտրություններ: Սակայն իրականությունն այն է, որ այս ընտրությունները անցել են բացահայտ խախտումներով, որոնց պարզաբանման և շտկման համար ֆեդերացիան դիմել էր ՀԱՕԿ նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին: Պարզվում է, որ ընտրությունների ըթնացքում անտեսվել են մեր բռցքամարտի կայացման հարցում մեծ ավանդ ունեցած մարզիչների կարծիքները և վերջիններիս նույնիսկ տեղյակ չեն պահել ընտրությունների կայացման և դրա օրվա մասին: Հաջորդ լուրջ խախտումը վերաբերում էր քվեարկությանը, որը եղել է բաց քվեարկության կարգով, իսկ կանոնադրությունը պահանջում է փակ քվերակություն: Ընդ որում՝ հաշվի չի առնվել ԴԵՄ ձայները և բոլորը հայտարվել են որպես ԿՈՂՄ քվեարկածներ: Ֆեդերացիայի նախագահի մեկ այլ թեկնածուին տեղյակ են պահել միայն 2 օր առաջ, ինչի ապտճառով նա չի կարողացել մասնակցել ընտրություններին: 
Այս խախտումների մասին տեղեկանալով՝ ՀԱՕԿ նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը խնդրեց, որպեսզի մեկ շաբաթ ժամանակ տրամադրի իրեն ներկայացված իրավիճակին ծանոթանալու և հարցերին լուծումները տալու համար: 
Ծառուկյանը նշեց նաև, որ օրենքը պահանջում է, որ ցանկացած ֆեդերացիա ի վերջո հաստատվի ՀԱՕԿ-ի կողմից, և վերջինս լիազորված է նոր ֆեդերացիա ձևավորել և կամ չեղյալ հայտարարելով նախորդ ընտրությունների արդյունքները՝ նորը նշանակել: 
ՀԱՕԿ նախագահը խոստացավ, որ շուտով կձևավորվի նոր ֆեդերացիա, որտեղ կանցկացվեն Ֆեդերացիայի նախագահի արդար ու թափանցիկ ընտրություններ, որին կմասնակցեն ընտերլու իրավունք ունեցող բոլոր անդամները: 
Ժողովին մասնակից ֆեդերացիայի անդամները, կամ այլ կերպ ասած՝ հայկական բռնցքամարտի կորիզը, գոհունակություն հայտնեցին այս որոշման առթիվ և միաձայն հաստատեցին, որ իրենց համար ընդունելի ֆեդերացիա կլինի այն ֆեդերացիան, որը կհաստատվի և կընդունվի ՀԱՕԿ-ի կողմից:
