ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Զոհրաբ Մնացականյանը օգոստոսի 22-ին հանդիպել է Ռուանդայի ԱԳ նախարար Լուիզ Մուշիկիվաբոյի հետ, ում, որպես Աֆրիկյան միության ներկայացուցիչ, ուղեկցում էր Գաբոնի արտաքին գործերի, ֆրանկոֆոնիայի և տարածաշրջանային ինտեգրացիայի նախարար Ռեջի Իմոնգոլը: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության լրատվության և հանրային դիվանագիտության վարչությունից:

Հաղորդագրության մեջ նշված է. «Ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ նախարար Մնացականյանը կարևորեց իր գործընկերների այցելությունը՝ որպես Ռուանդայից և Գաբոնից առաջին բարձրաստիճան այց Հայաստան: Նախարարն ընդգծեց, որ երկրի զարգացմանն առնչվող տարբեր, այդ թվում՝ նորարարության, բարձր տեխնոլոգիաների, գյուղատնտեսության, զարգացման օրակարգի, երիտասարդության և այլ հարցերում մեր օրակարգերը համընկնում են։ Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարն ընդգծեց Հայաստանի իշխանությունների քաղաքական հետաքրքրվածությունը՝ առավել ընդլայնելու Աֆրիկյան մայրցամաքի հետ համակողմանի փոխգործակցությունը։

Հայաստանի և Ռուանդայի ԱԳ նախարարները բարձր գնահատեցին միջազգային հարթակներում հաստատված արդյունավետ համագործակցությունը՝ կարևորելով երկկողմ օրակարգի առաջմղման ուղղությամբ քայլերի ձեռնարկումը։

Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը ներկայացրեց ս.թ. հոկտեմբերին Երևանում կայանալիք ՖՄԿ գագաթաժողովի նախապատրաստական աշխատանքները և գագաթաժողովի կարգախոս հանդիսացող «Ապրել միասին»-ի խորհուրդը՝ նշելով, որ գագաթաժողովի անցկացումը Հայաստանում մեծ պատիվ, միաժամանակ նաև մեծ պատասխանատվություն է, և հայկական կողմը ամենայն լրջությամբ է մոտենում այն բարձր մակարդակով անցկացնելու հանձնառությանը։ Այս համատեքստում նախարար Մնացականյանը նշեց, որ Հայաստանը մեծապես կարևորում է ՖՄԿ դերը՝ որպես երկխոսության և մտքերի փոխանակման արդյունավետ հարթակ, և հանդիսանալով կազմակերպության ակտիվ անդամ՝ հավատարիմ է ֆրանկոֆոնիայի համընդհանուր արժեքներին ու նպատակներին: Զրուցակիցները մտքեր փոխանակեցին Երևանյան գագաթաժողովի օրակարգի, նախատեսվող միջոցառումների և մասնակիցների հավանությանը ներկայացվելիք փաստաթղթերի շուրջ:

Հայաստանի ԱԳՆ ղեկավարը գործընկերներին ներկայացրեց ցեղասպանությունների և մարդկության դեմ հանցագործությունների կանխարգելման ուղղությամբ միջազգային հարթակներում Հայաստանի հետևողական և սկզբունքային քայլերը՝ այս հարցում կարևորելով Հայաստանի և Ռուանդայի համատեղ ջանքերը: Նախարար Մնացականյանը հավելեց, որ Հայաստանը վերոնշյալ նախաձեռնություններն իրականացնում է որպես միջազգային հանրության պատասխանատու անդամ՝ նպատակ ունենալով կանխել մեկ այլ ժողովրդի կողմից այդ արհավիրքի հնարավոր վերապրումը։ Զրուցակիցները շեշտեցին, որ այս հարցում երկու ժողովուրդներին միավորում է ոչ միայն ընդհանուր պատմությունը, այլև դիմակայելու կարողությունը և վերապրելու վճռականությունը։

Այցի շրջանակներում Ռուանդայի և Գաբոնի արտաքին գործերի նախարարներն այցելեցին Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր և հարգանքի տուրք մատուցեցին Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակին, ինչպես նաև գրառում կատարեցին Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարանի հուշամատյանում»։
