Հայաստանն իր գործընկերներին ապացուցում է, որ իր անվտանգության կարողությունները մեծացել են և Հայաստանն այժմ անվտանգություն ապահովող երկիր է: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ' «ՆԱՏՕ-ի շաբաթ 2014» միջոցառման շրջանակում ՀՀ-ում հավատարմագրված ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ մի շարք երկրների դեսպանների և ԵՊՀ պրո ֆեսորադասախոսական կազմի և ուսանողների հանդիպանն ասաց ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ջոն Հեֆերնը: «Հայաստան ժամանելուց հետո ամենաշատն ինձ զարմացրեց սերտ գործընկերությունը ՆԱՏՕ-ի և Հայաստանի հետ: ՆԱՏՕ-ն ամուր և փոխշահավետ համագործակցություն է վարում ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի և պաշտպանության նախարարության հետ: Մենք շատ բարձր ենք գնահատում հ այ խաղաղապահների ծառայությունը ՆԱՏՕ-ի կողմից իրականացվող առաքելություններում: Հայաստանն արդեն մասնակցում է մի շարք գործողություններում, ուստի այն սոսկ անվտանգության սպառող չէ, այլև' ապահավող: Սա շատ կարևոր զարգացում է, և դուք պետք է հպարտ լինեք»,- ասաց դեսպանը: Նրա խոսքով' ՆԱՏՕ-ն շատ կարևորում է պաշտպանության ոլորտում կատարվող բարեփոխումները, որոնք բարձրացնում են մարտունակությունը: «Կարևոր կետն այն է, որ բոլորը շահում են պաշտպանության ոլորտում արված բարեփոխումներից: Եվ իմ վերջին նկատառումն այն է, որ ուրախալի էր տեսնել ՀՀ նախագահին ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթնաժողովի ժամանակ: ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարի բովանդակալից հանդիպումը ՆԱՏՕ-ի հրամանատար գեներալ Բրիտոյի հետ ցույց տվեց, որ Հայաստանը պատրաստ է շարունակել այս գործընկերությունը»,- հավելեց դեսպանը: «ՆԱՏՕ-ի շաբաթ 2014» միջոցառման շրջանակում ՀՀ-ում հավատարմագրված ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ մի շարք երկրների դեսպաններ նոյեմբերի 12-ին այցելեցին Երևանի պետական համալսարան' հանդիպելու բուհի պրոֆեսորադասախոսական կազմի և ուսանողների հետ: Հանդիպմանը մասնակցում էին նաեւ ՀՀ-ում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դեսպան Քեթրին Լիչը, ՀՀ ԱԳՆ մի շարք ներկայացուցիչներ, ովքեր անդրադարձան Հայաստան-ՆԱՏՕ գործընկերային հարաբերություններին:
