Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Մևլյութ Չավուշօղլուն հայտարարել է, որ այլևս ժամանակն է, որ քուրդ զինյալներն ամբողջովին դուրս բերվեն սիրիական Մանբիջից, և Թուրքիան ու ԱՄՆ-ն անցնեն Մանբիջի շուրջ ձեռք բերված համատեղ պայմանավորվածության լիիրավ իրագործմանը:

Ինչպես գրում է թուրքական demokrathaber.org կայքը, Չավուշօղլուն հայտնել է, որ թուրքական ու ամերիկյան կողմերի հաստատած ծրագիրը ուշանում է, թեև սխալ կլինի ասել, որ Մանբիջում առհասարակ ոչինչ չի արվել: Ըստ Թուրքիայի ԱԳՆ-ի՝ ուշացման մեղավորը ԱՄՆ-ն է:

«Նրանցից բխող ուշացում եղավ, սակայն չենք կարող ասել, որ գործընթացը վատ է առաջ շարժվում կամ առհասարակ առաջ չի շարժվում: Այլևս ժամանակն է, որ քուրդ զինյալներն ամբոջղովին լքեն Մանբիջն ու տեղի կառավորումը թողնվի տեղացիներին», - ասել է Չավուշօղլուն:

Ավելի վաղ սիրիական Մանբիջում համատեղ գործողությունների ծրագրի շուրջ աշխատող թուրք-ամերիկյան աշխատանքային խումբը վերջնական համաձայնության է եկել «ճանապարհային քարտեզի» վերաբերյալ ու համաձայնել համապատասխան փաստաթուղթն ուղղել երկու երկրների պետական բարձր մարմիններին։
