Հայաստանում Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի օրերի շրջանակում հոկտեմբերի 16-ին Կամերային երաժշտության տանը անցկացվեց «Հայկական և ֆրանսիական խմբերգեր» խորագիրը կրող համերգ, որի ժամանակ հանդես եկան Երևանի պետական և «Հովեր» պետական կամերային երգչախմբերը:
 
«Հովեր» պետական կամերային երգչախմբի գեղարվեստական ղեկավար և խմբավար Սոնա Հովհաննիսյանը նշեց, որ այս համերգը Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի արձագանքն է այն մեծ իրադարձություններին, որոնցով ապրում էր ողջ Երևանը:
 
«Ես շատ երջանիկ եմ, որ Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջոցառումների գալա համերգի օրը Մաշտոցի և Կոմիտասի գործերով հանդես եկանք: Թեև փոքրիկ հատվածներով, բայց գալա համերգի այն հատվածը, որ նկարագրում էր քրիստոնեության մուտքը Հայաստան, ուղեկցվեց մեր այդ կատարումներով: Տպավորված եմ ողջ աշխատանքով: Յուրաքանչյուր մեծ իրադարձություն ունենում է փոքրիկ ալիքներ: Այս համերգը համարենք այդ փոքրիկ ալիքներից»,- ասաց Հովհաննիսյանը:
 
Համերգային երեկոն մեկնարկեց Ֆրանսիայի ազգային օրհներգի՝ «Մարսելյեզ»-ի կատարմամբ: Երգչախմբերը երեկոյի ընթացքում հանդես եկան հայկական և ֆրանսիական խմբերգերի մատուցմամբ: Հանդիսատեսին ներկայացվեցին Դեբյուսիի, Ռոսինիի, Ֆորեի, Կամպոյի, Ռավելի և այլ կոմպոզիտորների ստեղծագործություններ, նաև՝ ֆրանսիական հեղափոխական երգեր: Հայկական խմբերգերից հնչեցին Կոմիտասի ստեղծագործությունները:
 
Հայաստանում հոկտեմբերի 11-12-ը անցկացվել է Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության 17-րդ գագաթնաժողովը: Գագաթնաժողովին մասնակցելու համար Հայաստան էին ժամանել Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի անդամ 84 երկրի պատվիրակություն և 38 երկրի ղեկավար: Հոկտեմբերի 11-ի նիստի ընթացքում ՖՄԿ գագաթնաժողովի նախագահության լիազորությունները Մադագասկարից փոխանցվեցին Հայաստանին: Հիմնվեց համաժողովի բյուրոն, մասնակիցները հաստատեցին օրակարգի նախագիծն ու ծրագրավորեցին աշխատանքները: Հոկտեմբերի 12-ին Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղար ընտրվեց Ռուանդայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Լուիզ Մուշիկիվաբոն: Գագաթնաժողովի թեման էր «Ապրել միասին՝ հարգելով համերաշխությունը, մարդասիրական արժեքներն ու բազմազանությունը՝ իբրև խաղաղության եւ բարօրության հիմք ֆրանկոֆոն տարածաշրջանում»: Համընդհանուր արժեքների վրա խարսխված այս թեման հնարավորություն կտա արտացոլել Ֆրանկոֆոնիայում խաղաղությունը, համերաշխությունը և զարգացումը։ Որպես Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի 17-րդ գագաթնաժողովի լոգո ընտրվել էր նուռը՝ ի նշան ֆրանկոֆոն ողջ տարածքի խաղաղության և բարգավաճման։
