Վարչապետի պաշտոնակատար Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդունել է Եվրոպական արտաքին գործողությունների ծառայության (ԵԱԳԾ) Եվրոպայի և Կենտրոնական Ասիայի տնօրինության գործադիր տնօրեն Թոմաս Մայր-Հարթինգին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ վարչապետի աշխատակազմի տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, վարչապետի պաշտոնակատարը կարևորել է Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների շարունակական զարգացումը և հույս հայտնել, որ այն համատեղ ջանքերի արդյունքում կբարձրանա նոր մակարդակի: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն իր խոսքում անդրադարձել է Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցող քաղաքական փոփոխություններին և խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների կազմակերպմանը՝ նշելով, որ կառավարության քայլերն ուղղված են ժողովրդավարության զարգացմանն ու ամրապնդմանը, ազատ, արդար և թափանցիկ ընտրությունների անցկացմանը, ինչպես Երևանի ավագանու վերջին ընտրությունների ժամանակ:

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդգծել է, որ դրանց արդյունքները որևէ քաղաքական ուժի մոտ կասկած չեն հարուցել, և բոլոր մասնակիցները շնորհավորել են ընտրություններում հաղթանակ տարած դաշինքին: Մեր երկրում տարբեր ոլորտներում բարեփոխումների իրականացման գործում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը կարևորել է ԵՄ-ի հետ փոխգործակցությունը՝ ՀՀ-ԵՄ Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի շրջանակում: Նա ընդգծել է, որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը հետևողականորեն գնում է ժողովրդավության, արդարադատության, կրթության, քաղաքացիական հասարակության, կառավարման համակարգի, ենթակառուցվածքների զարգացման, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության  ճանապարհով: Միաժամանակ, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը նշել է, որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը կարևորում է կանանց ակտիվ դերակատարությունը հասարակական-քաղաքական կյանքում և քայլեր է իրականացնում կառավարման համակարգում նրանց ներգրավվածությունն ավելացնելու նպատակով:  

Թոմաս Մայր-Հարթինգը շնորհավորել է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության 17-րդ գագաթնաժողովը բարձր մակարդակով անցկացնելու կապակցությամբ և անդրադարձել ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների օրակարգային հարցերին: Նա ընդգծել է, որ ԵՄ-ն ողջունում է ՀՀ կառավարության վերը նշված գործողությունները և պատրաստ է օժանդակել մեր երկրին նախաձեռնած բարեփոխումները կյանքի կոչելու գործում:

Զրուցակիցները քննարկել են ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորմանը վերաբերող հարցեր և կարևորել բանակցային գործընթացի համար բարենպաստ մթնոլորտի ստեղծումը: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը և Թոմաս Մայր-Հարթինգն ընդգծել են հիմնախնդրի բացառապես խաղաղ կարգավորման անհրաժեշտությունը՝ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահության ձևաչափում:
