Ուզբեկստանի առաջին նախագահ Իսլամ Քարիմովի հուշարձանի բացման հանդիսավոր արարողությունը հոկտեմբերի 18-ին տեղի Է ունեցել Մոսկվայի կենտրոնում, Բոլշայա Պոլյանկա փողոցում: Ինչպես հայտնել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ի թղթակիցը, հուշարձանը Քարիմովին ներկայացնում Է ողջ հասակով, այգում զբոսնելիս:

Կոթողն ստեղծվել Է հեղինակային կոլեկտիվի կողմից՝ բրիտանացի քանդակագործ Պոլ Դեյի ղեկավարությամբ: Հուշարձանը Մոսկվային որպես նվեր Է հանձնել ուզբեկական կողմը: Հուշարձանը տեղադրված Է Ուզբեկստանի դեսպանատան մերձակա պուրակում, որը կրում Է Քարիմովի անունը: Արարողության մասնակիցներն են դարձել ՌԴ Դաշնության խորհրդի փոխնախագահ Նիկոլայ Ֆյոդորովը, Ուզբեկստանի Սենատի նախագահ Նիգմատիլա Յուլդաշեւը, Ուզբեկստանի առաջին նախագահի այրին՝ Տատյանան, ՌԴ-ի արտաքին գործերի փոխնախարար Գրիգորի Կարասինը, Մոսկվայի փոխքաղաքապետ Ալեքսանդր Գորբենկոն:

Արարողությունը տեղի Է ունեցել հոկտեմբերի 18-ին ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի՝ Ուզբեկստան երկօրյա պետական այցի նախօրյակին:

Քարիմովը կյանքի 79-րդ տարում ինսուլտից հետո վախճանվել Է 2016 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 2-ին: Քարիմովն Ուզբեկստանի անփոփոխ նախագահն Էր 1991 թվականից: Ավելի վաղ գլխավորել Է հանրապետության Կոմկուսի Կենտկոմը, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
