Վարչապետի պաշտոնակատար Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդունել է ԵԽ Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ջաննի Բուքիքիոյին:   

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ վարչապետի աշխատակազմի տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ողջունելով հյուրին կառավարությունում, շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովին Հայաստանի Ընտրական օրենսգրքում փոփոխություններ կատարելու աշխատանքներին օժանդակելու և համապատասխան խորհրդատվություն տրամադրելու համար: Վարչապետի պաշտոնակատարը նշել է, որ Ընտրական օրենսգրքի բարեփոխումները միտված են եղել առավելագունը ազատ, արդար և թափանցիկ ընտրական համակարգի ձևավորմանը և հավելել, որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը կարևորում է ԵԽ Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովի և ԵԱՀԿ Ժողովրդավարական հաստատությունների և մարդու իրավունքների գրասենյակի հետ համագործակցությունն ու բարեփոխումների իրականացման գործում սերտ երկխոսությունը: 

Ջաննի Բուքիքիոն ողջունել է Հայաստանի Ընտրական օրենսգրքում բարեփոխումներ իրականացնելու կառավարության նախաձեռնությունը և նշել, որ կարևորում են դրանցով նախատեսված փոփոխությունները: Նրա խոսքով՝ Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովը դրական է գնահատել նախանշված բարեփոխումները, որոնք միտված են քվեարկության իրավունքի իրականացմանը, դիտորդների իրավունքների պաշտպանությանը,  մամուլի հասանելիության ընդլայնմանը, ընտրական գործընթացի թափանցիկության ապահովմանը,  ընտրակեղծիքների դեմ պայքարին, ընտրությունների առաջին փուլից հետո կազմվող կոալիցիայի մասնակիցների թվաքանակի սահմանափակումների վերացմանը և այլն: Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովի նախագահը հույս է հայտնել, որ ընտրական բարեփոխումների գործընթացը Հայաստանում հաջողությամբ կիրականացվի: 

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը և Ջաննի Բուքիքիոն քննարկել են Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցող քաղաքական պրոցեսներին վերաբերվող տարբեր հարցեր, անդրադարձել խորհրդարանական արտահերթ ընտրությունների անցկացմանը:

 ՀՀ վարչապետի պաշտոնակատարն ընդգծել է, որ կառավարությունն անելու է առավելագույնը՝ կազմակերպելու և անցկացնելու այնպիսի ընտրություններ, որոնց արդյունքները կասկածներ չեն հարուցի որևէ մեկի մոտ: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը շեշտել է, որ Հայաստանը հաստատակամ շարժվում է ժողովրդավարության ամրապնդման, արդարադատության համակարգի զարգացման, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության, քաղաքացիական հասարակության զարգացման ուղղությամբ: Կառավարության ղեկավարի պաշտոնակատարի խոսքով՝ նշված ուղղություններով բարեփոխումները առաջնահերթություն են, իսկ ժողովրդավարության զարգացումը մեր հասարակության համար ներքին պահանջ է, համոզմունք և հիմնարար արժեք:
