ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ն 2001 թվականին որոշել է հունվարի 16-ը նշել որպես The Beatles անգլիական ռոք խմբի օր:

1957 թվականի հունվարի 16-ին Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Լիվերպուլ քաղաքում բացվել է The Cavern (քարանձավ) ակումբը, որտեղ 1960 թվականին առաջին անգամ ելույթ է ունեցել The Beatles-ը:

Հենց այս նույն օրը Cashbox ամսագիրը 1964 թվականին ամերիկյան հիթ-շքերթում I Want To Hold Your Hand երգին շնորհել է առաջին հորիզոնականը:

Ամեն ինչ սկսվեց այսպես

The Beatles խմբի հիմնադիր, երգիչ Ջոն Լեննոնը սկզբում իր դպրոցական ընկերների հետ 1956 թվականին ստեղծել էր մի խումբ՝ Quarrymen անունով՝ իր դպրոցի՝ Quarry Bank-ի պատվին: Մի փոքր ավելի ուշ խմբին միացել էին նաև Փոլ Մակկարտնին և Ջորջ Հարիսոնը: Ժամանակի ընթացքում նրանք սկսել էին ավելի ակտիվ հանդես գալ և նրանց պետք էր ավելի հնչեղ անուն մտածել: Լեգենդներ կան այն մասին, որ Ջոն Լեննոնը The Beatles անվանումը երազում է տեսել: Անվանումը պետք է այսպես հնչեր՝ Beetles (բզեզներ), սակայն հետո երկրորդ «e» տառը փոխվել է «a»-ի և ամենայն հավանականությամբ գալիս է «beat» բառից (բիթերով երաժշտություն):  Սկզբում խմբի կազմում կիթառահարը Ստյուարդ Սատկլիֆն է եղել և հարվածային գործիքների է նվագել Փիթ Բեստը: Արդյունքում Բեստին, ով այնքան էլ լավ չէր նվագում, ինչպես խմբի մնացած անդամները, փոխարինելու եկավ Ռինգո Սթարը: Սատկլիֆը լքեց խումբը և իր կնոջ հետ տեղափոխվեց Համբուրգ, սակայն 21 տարեկանում արյան զեղումից մահացել է: Սկզբնական կազմով՝ Ջոն Լեննոնը, Փոլ Մակկարտնին, Ջորջ Հարիսոնը և Ռինգո Սթարը, միասին աշխատել են 8 տարի: Այդ ընթացքում լույս էր տեսել 13 ալբոմ, որոնցում տեղ գտած երգերը դառնում էին հիթեր:

«Եվրատեսիլ 2019»-ի մասնակից Սրբուկը The Beatles-ին համաշխարհային ֆենոմեն է համարում։ Ասել է, թե երաժշտական պատմության մեջ անսահման մեծ ներդրում ունեցող երևույթ, որով «կրթվել» են շատ սերունդներ։

«Իրենց երգերի մեջ կա անսահման բարություն ու անկեղծություն, որն էլ կարծում եմ այն գլխավոր առանձնահատկությունն է, որը շարունակում է գրավել շատերին։ Ես շատ եմ սիրում իրենց երգացանկը, մասնավորապես` “Hey Jude”, ”Yesterday”, ”While My Guitar Gently Weeps” երգերը»,- եզրափակեց Սրբուկը։

 

 

«Բիթլոմանիա»-ն, որը խորհրդանշում էր The Beatles-ի մոլի երկրպագուներին՝ սկսվել է 1963թվականից, երբ ընդամենը 10 ժամում երաժիշտները ձայնագրել էին Please Please me երգը:

1964 թվականին մեկ շաբաթվա ընթացքում The Beatles-ի անդամները 12 հորիզոնական են զբաղեցրել Billboard Hot 100 հիթ-շքերթում: Վերջին կես դարում ոչ ոքի չի հաջողվել գերազանցել այս ռեկորդը: Հենց այդ տարի նրանք մեկնել են ԱՄՆ՝ իրենց առաջին շրջագայությանը: Հենց այդտեղից էլ լիվերպուլյան այս քառյակը համաշխարհային ճանաչում է ձեռք բերել:

Խմբի փլուզումը

Քառյակի համատեղ աշխատանքն ավարտվել է 1970 թվականին: Նրանք սկսել էին առանձին-առանձին ելույթներ ունենալ: Փոլ Մակարտնին և Ռինգո Սթարը մինչ այսօր էլ ստեղծագործական ակտիվ գործունեություն են ծավալում: Ռինգոն ունի սեփական խումբը՝ Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band-ը, և արդեն 30 տարի է, ինչ համերգներով շրջագայում է աշխարհով մեկ: Ջոն Լեննոնին սպանել են 1980 թվականին, իսկ Ջորջ Հարիսոնը մահացել է 2001 թվականին՝ քաղցկեղից:

  • Rolling Stone ամսագրի տվյալներով բոլոր ժամանակների 500 երգից 22-ը պատկանում է The Beatles-ին: Խմբի ամենալավ հիթն է ճանաչվել Hey, Jude երգը:
  • 2015 թվականին The Cavern ակումբը Լիվերպուլ քաղաքին նվիրել է երաժիշտների հուշարձանը, որտեղ պատկերված է լեգենդար քառյակը, որ քայլում է ծովափի երկայնքով:
  • 1984 թվականին The Beatles խմբի երգերը երգելու համար իրավունքները վաճառվում էին աճուրդում: Հաղթել է Մայքլ Ջեքսոնը՝ փոփ երաժշտության արքան, ով վճարել է գրեթե 50 մլն դոլար: 1995 թվականին Sony ընկերությունը գնել էր Ջեքսոնից իր իրավունքների կեսը:
