Թուրքմենստանում ՀՀ դեսպան Գառնիկ Բադալյանը հունվարի 30-ին աշխատանքային այց է ունեցել Բալկանաբադ վիլայեթի Թուրքմենբաշի քաղաք:

Այցի շրջանակներում հանդիպումներ և քննարկումներ են տեղի ունեցել Թուրքմենբաշիի խյակիմ (քաղաքապետ) Ամանդգելդի Իսաևի և Թուրքմենբաշի միջազգային առևտրային նավահանգստի ղեկավարության հետ, ուսումնասիրվել են նավահանգստի գործունեությունը, Կասպից ծովի թուրքմենական ափի «Avaza» ազգային զբոսաշրջային և միջազգային առողջարանական կենտրոնի հնարավորություններն ու կարողությունները, ինչպես նաև հայկական տրանսպորտային ընկերությունների հետ համագործակցության հնարավորությունները:  

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության լրատվության և հանրային դիվանագիտության վարչությունից, քաղաքի պատմության և երկրագիտության թանգարանում ՀՀ դեսպանը ծանոթացել է Թուրքմենբաշի քաղաքի հիմնադրման և դրանում հայերի ունեցած մեծ ավանդին նվիրված ցուցադրությունների հետ: Քաղաքապետարանի պատասխանատուների ուղեկցությամբ ՀՀ դեսպանը շրջայց է կատարել 1903թ. կառուցված հայկական չգործող եկեղեցի: ՀՀ դեսպանն ու Թուրքմենբաշիի խյակիմը քննարկել են հայ թուրքմենական մշակութային առնչություններին վերբերող հարցեր, մասնավորապես՝ Հայաստանում թուրքմենական մշակութային ներկայության, դրանց նկատմամբ հայկական կողմի հոգատար վերաբերմունքի, ինչպես նաև թուրքմենական կողմի համաձայնությամբ պետության կողմից պահպանվող հայկական եկեղեցու վերականգնմանն առնչվող հարցեր: Դեսպանը և քաղաքապետը կարևորել են Թուրքմենբաշի և ՀՀ տարբեր քաղաքների միջև ուղղակի կապերի հաստատումը, առևտրատնտեսական, մշակութային և գիտակրթական բնագավառներում երկկողմ համագործակցության հաստատման անհրաժեշտությունը:      

Այցի ավարտին ՀՀ դեսպանը հանդիպել է քաղաքի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչների հետ, քննարկել համայնք-դեսպանություն կապերի ակտիվացման, Հայաստանում սովորող Թուրքմենստանի քաղաքացի հայազգի ուսանողների խնդիրներին առնչվող հարցեր:
