ԱՄՆ-ի Կոնգրեսի միջոցներով Երեւանում կազմակերպված CampCamp 2018 սեմինարի մասին «Russia Today»-ի հետազոտությունն արժանացել է ռուսական հասարակության արձագանքին: «Russia Today»-ի՝ «Հայաստանը դառնում է հեղափոխություն արտահանելու կենտրոն» խորագրով հոդվածը տարածել են, մասնավորապես, ՌԴ-ի պետական ԶԼՄ-ները: Փետրվարի 12-ին ռուսական Առաջին ալիքի «Վրեմյա» հաղորդաշարի 6/12 թողարկման ռեպորտաժում նշվում է, որ «օրերս ամերիկյան ֆինանսավորմամբ ինչ-որ կազմակերպություն կազմակերպել էր սեմինար Երեւանում, որի ժամանակ ռուս երիտասարդներին սովորեցրել են հեղափոխություն իրականացնել, այսինքն՝ կազմակերպել զանգվածային անկարգություններ ժողովրդավարության բարձրագույն արժեքի եւ իշխանությունը տապալելու համար»: Նյութում Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած իրադարձություններն անվանվել են «հայկական հեղաշրջում»: Լրագրողները հայտնել են, որ «սեմինարին մասնակցել են Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հեղափոխության առանցքային դերակատարները»: Խոսքը վերաբերում է, մասնավորապես, Միքայել Զոլյանին:

Նույն այդ օրը թեման շարունակվել է «Երեկոն Վլադիմիր Սոլովյովի հետ» հաղորդաշարում, որտեղ «Russia Today» հեռուստաալիքի գլխավոր խմբագիր Մարգարիտա Սիմոնյանը ներկայացրել է Երեւանում CampCamp 2018 սեմինարի մասին լրագրողների հետաքննության մանրամասները:

Այդ երեկոյան ռուսական Առաջին ալիքի «Վրեմյա պոկաժետ» հաղորդման ընթացքում փորձագետների ուշադրության կենտրոնում հայտնվել էր «Russia Today» կայքում հրապարակված հոդվածը, որ ԽՍՀՄ նախկին հանրապետությունների տարածքում անցկացվում են սեմինարներ գունավոր հեղափոխությունների թեմայով: Միջոցառումներն անցկացվում են «Պատժամիջոցների միջոցով Ամերիկայի հակառակորդներին հակազդելու մասին» (CAATSA) օրենքի շրջանակներում ԱՄՆ-ից ֆինանսավորվող կազմակերպության հովանու ներքո:

Ինչպես նշվում է «Russia Today»-ի՝ «Նորաձեւություն հեղափոխության համար. ինչպես են սովորեցնում երիտասարդներին իրականացնել պետական հեղաշրջում արեւմտյան գումարներով» հոդվածում, պատահական չէ, որ Հայաստանն ընտրվել էր որպես սեմինարն անցկացնելու վայր: Սերժ Սարգսյանին տապալելուց հետո ԱՊՀ բոլոր երկրների ընդդիմադիրները ձգտեցին դեպի Երեւան «բողոքի ցույցերի համար ներշնչանքի» եւ հայկական «թավշյա հեղափոխության» փորձն ուսումնասիրելու նպատակով:

RT-ի լրագրողները ներգրավված էին սեմինարում մասնակիցների կարգավիճակով՝ լսելու համար՝ ինչպես «կազմակերպել հեղափոխություն»: Սեմինարին մասնակցում էին ինչպես Ռուսաստանից, այնպես էլ Ղրղզստանից, Ղազախստանից եւ ԱՊՀ այլ երկրներից երիտասարդներ. ընդհանուր առմամբ 150 մարդ: Չափորոշիչներից մեկը տարիքն էր՝ 20-ից 40 տարեկան: Սեմինարի ժամանակ հիշատակվում էր նաեւ Սանտկ-Պետերբուրգում բողոքի ցույցեր կազմակերպելը:
