Վերջին շրջանում ռազմական սպառազինությունների մրցավազքը մոլուցքի է վերածվում, և պետությունները հաճախ այդ առումով դիմում են մանիպուլիացիաների: Թուրքիան շարունակում է աշխատել ռուսական հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգերի հակասական գործարքի վրա` Վաշինգտոնի պատասխան հարվածը սադրելու ռիսկի տակ, որ փորձում է կասեցնել գործարքը` ելնելով անվտանգության նկատառումներից:

Հայտնի դարձավ, որ ԱՄՆ վարչակազմի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներն օրերս հայտարարել են, որ Թուրքիան պատրաստվում է գնել ռուսական S-400-ները, որ Վաշինգտոնի պնդումով` սպառնալիքի տակ է դնելու ՆԱՏՕ-ի դաշնակիցների անվտանգությունը: Փորձելով կանխել ՆԱՏՕ-ի տարածքում S-400 համակարգերի օգտագործումը` ԱՄՆ-ն իր հերթին Թուրքիային առաջարկեց պաշտպանական մրցակից համակարգերը` Patriot-ները:

Ավելին՝ Վաշինգտոնը սպառնաց պատժամիջոցներ սահմանել, կասեցնել F-35 կործանիչների մատակարարումը, և հայտարարեց, որ դիտարկում է «ծախսերի նվազեցումը» Թուրքիային F-35-ի մատակարարումներից դուրս բերելո ւհամար, որովհետև F-35-ի տեխնոլոգիաները և ռուսական S-400-ները չի կարելի համադրել առանց F-35-ի համար սպառնալիքի:

ԱՄՆ-ին հատուկ մտահոգությունն է հարուցում, որ Ռուսաստանն ուղարկելու է կամ զինվորականների, կամ ռազմական մասնագետների` օգնելու S-400 համակարգերը գործարկել: Ռուս բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներից մեկը, ով ծանոթ է Մոսկվայի ու Անկարայի համաձայնագրի մանրամասներին, իր հարցազրույցներից մեկում հաստատել է, որ Ռուսաստանը մտադիր է իր աշխատակիցներին ուղարկել Թուրքիա: Նա չի մեկնաբանել` աշխատակիցները զինվորականնե՞ր են լինելու, թե՞ պաշտպանական ընկերությունների պայմանագրային աշխատակիցներ: Այս ամենի հետ կապված՝ ԱՄՆ-ը հայտարարել է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի դաշնակիցները ևս տագնապում են և իրավիճակը վերածվում է բոլոր դաշնակիցներին վերաբերող բազմակողմանի պրոբլեմի:

Ամփոփելով փաստենք, որ Անկարան տևական ժամանակ «խաղացնում էր» ՌԴ-ին ու ԱՄՆ-ին` փորձելով նախ գին գցել, հետո ստանալ ոչ միայն զենքը, այլև զենքի արտադրման տեխնոլոգիաները` սկսելու սեփական արտադրություն: Իր հերթին ԱՄՆ-ն այդ պայմանը մերժում է, իսկ ՌԴ-ն, ըստ ռուսական ու թուրքական մամուլում հրապարակված տեղեկությունների, արդեն համաձայնություն է տվել: Բնականաբար` ԱՄՆ լավագույն տեխնիկան մղվում է հետին պլան` զենքի շուկա մտնելու հեռանկարի առաջ:
