Երեկ՝ մայիսի 14-ին, Գերմանիան շնորհավորեցՀայաստանին՝ 21 զրահապատ մարտական մեքենաների արդյունավետ կրճատման առիթով: «Այս ջանքերի շնորհիվ Հայաստանն այլևս կպահպանի զրահապատ մարտական մեքենաների՝ Եվրոպայում կոնվենցիոնալ զինված ուժերի պայմանագրով Treaty on Conventional Forces in Europe (CFE Treaty) ամրագրված սահմանաքանակը»,- ասված է հայտարարության մեջ։

Սրա վերաբերյալ իր տեսակետն էր հայտնել քաղաքագետ Հրանտ Մելիք-Շահնազարյանը՝ գործընթացը որակելով տեխնիկայի ոչնչացում։

Մեծ քննարկման առիթ դարձած հայտարարության մասին, ի վերջո, պարզաբանում է ներկայացրել ՀՀ ՊՆ մամուլի խոսնակ Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը՝ նշելով, որ խոսքը մոտ 1 տարի առաջվանից շահագործումից հանած տեխնիկայի մասին է․ «Դրանք վաղուց, մոտ մեկ տասնյակ տարի շահագործումից հանված տեխնիկաներ են, դրանց վրայից անհրաժեշտ, կիրառելի ամեն ինչ հանված է և եթե կարող է օգտագործվել ապա օգտագործվում է: Այդ ոչնչացումը մեզ համար միջոցների խնայման և օպտիմալ օգտագործման համար շատ կարևոր է: Ոչնչացումը թույլ կտա ստանալ այլ ռեսուրսներ: Դա ՀՀ միջազգային պարտավորությունների շրջանակներում է և գործընթացը իրականացվում է շատ վաղուց»,- իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել էՀովհաննիսյանը:
