82 տարեկանում կյանքից հեռացել է ՀՀ ժողովրդական արտիստ, Երևանի Հ. Պարոնյանի անվան երաժշտական կոմեդիայի պետական թատրոնի գեղարվեստական ղեկավար  ԵՐՎԱՆԴ ՂԱԶԱՆՉՅԱՆԸ:

Ծնվել է 1937թ. հունիսի 2-ին, Երևանում: Եղել է դերասանուհի Գալյա Նովենցի ամուսինը: 1953-58թթ սովորել է Երևանի գեղարվեստաթատերական ինստիտուտի դերասանական ֆակուլտետում` Վարդան Աճեմյանի արվեստանոցում: Ստացել է դրամատիկ թատրոնի դերասանի որակավորում:

1962-65թթ սովորել է նույն ինստիտուտի ռեժիսորական բաժնում` դրամատիկ թատրոնի ռեժիսորի որակավորմամբ: 1964-65թթ ռեժիսորական բարձրագույն կուրսեր է անցել Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի Մ.Գորկու անվան պետական ակադեմիական թատրոնին կից ստուդիայում` Գ. Տովստանոգովի ղեկավարությամբ:

1949-52թթ աշխատել է Երևանի Պատանի հանդիսատեսի թատրոնում` որպես սկսնակ դերասան, 1958-62թթ` Կապանի Ա.Շիրվանզադեի անվան պետական թատրոնում` որպես դերասան և ռեժիսոր, 1967-70թթ` Երևանի Գ.Սունդուկյանի անվան ազգային ակադեմիական թատրոնում` որպես ռեժիսոր, 1984-86թթ` որպես տնօրեն և գեղարվեստական խորհրդի նախագահ, 1970-76թթ` Լենինականի դրամատիկական թատրոնում (այժմ` Գյումրիի Վ.Աճեմյանի անվան)` որպես գլխավոր ռեժիսոր, 1976-78թթ` Երևանի Հ.Ղափլանյանի անվան պետական դրամատիկական թատրոնում` որպես գեղարվեստական ղեկավար և տնօրեն, 1980-84թթ և 1986-93թթ` Երևանի Պատանի հանդիսատեսի թատրոնում` որպես գլխավոր ռեժիսոր: 1993թ-ից Երևանի Հ.Պարոնյանի անվան երաժշտական կոմեդիայի պետական թատրոնի գեղարվեստական ղեկավարն է:

1993-2002թթ եղել է նաև թատրոնի տնօրենը: Հայ թատրոնում բեմադրել է հայ և արտասահմանյան դասականների մի շարք ստեղծագործություններ` Սարտրի «Անթաղ մեռելներ», Ա.Շիրվանզադեի «Պատվի համար», «Մորգանի խնամին» (ՀԹԳՄ «Արտավազդ» մրցանակ), Ֆ.Դոստոևսկու «Ապուշը», «Ոճիր և պատիժ», Ժ.Հարությունյանի «Հարսանիք», «Պարոն Բաբիկը և ուրիշները», Բ.Բրեխտի «Կուրաժ մայրիկը», Ֆ.Լորկայի «Արյունոտ հարսանիք», Ե.Չարենցի «Երկիր Նաիրի», Սոլտիկով-Շչեդրինի «Մի քաղաքի պատմություն», Վ.Շեքսպիրի «Ոչնչից մեծ աղմուկ», «12-րդ գիշեր», Սանինի «Ես մարդ եմ», Մոլիերի «Քաղքենին ազնվական», Ն.Գոգոլի «Ամուսնություն», Ժ.Անանյանի «Ես եմ, եկել եմ», «Տեր, մի թող մեզ անտեր», «Մեռնելու էլ իրավունք չունիմ», Արիստոֆանեսի «Լիսիստրատե», Հ.Պարոնյանի «Ատամնաբույժն արևելյան» (ՀԹԳՄ «Արտավազդ» մրցանակ), Կ.Խոդիկյանի «Լիր արքայի ծաղրածուն» և այլն:

1974թ-ից դասավանդում է Երևանի թատրոնի և կինոյի պետական ինստիտուտում (1991թ-ից` պրոֆեսոր): 1995-2007թթ եղել է Հայաստանի թատերական գործիչների միության նախագահը:

1986թ. պարգևատրվել է ՀՀ Պետական մրցանակով, 2005թ.` «Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքացի» կոչումով, 2008թ.` Հայ եկեղեցու «Սուրբ Սահակ-Սուրբ Մեսրոպ» շքանշանով: 1974թ. արժանացել է Հայաստանի արվեստի վաստակավոր գործչի, 2004թ.` ժողովրդական արտիստի կոչման, 2015թ.` ՀՀ նախագահի մրցանակին (Տ.Չուխաճյանի «Կարինե» օպերետի համար), 2017թ.՝ ՀՀ «Հայրենիքին մատուցած ծառայությունների համար» 1-ին աստիճանի մեդալի:
