82 տարեկանում կյանքից հեռացավ գիտության վաստակավոր գործիչ, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ ակադեմիկոս, ֆիզիկամաթեմատիկական գիտությունների դոկտոր, պրոֆեսոր, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Ֆիզիկայի կիրառական պրոբլեմների ինստիտուտի հիմնադիր եւ գիտական ղեկավար Ալպիկ Ռաֆայելի Մկրտչյանը: Այս մասին հայտնում են ՀՀ ԳԱԱ տեղեկատվական-վերլուծական ծառայությունից:

Ակադեմիկոս Ալպիկ Մկրտչյանի կողմից կատարված գիտական հետազոտությունների հիման վրա բյուրեղացել եւ ինտենսիվ զարգանում է ֆիզիկայի նոր բնագավառ՝ ակուստաֆիզիկան, որն իր մեջ է ներառում նրա կողմից հիմնադրած այնպիսի գիտական ուղղություններ, ինչպիսիք են մոդուլացիոն Մյոսբաուէրյան սպեկտրասկոպիան, մոդուլացիոն ռենտգենյան սպեկտրասկոպիան, գամմա-օպտիկան, ակուստապլազման եւ այլն: Ալպիկ Մկրտչյանը ավելի քան 300 գիտական հոդվածների, հեղինակային իրավունքների եւ մենագրությունների հեղինակ է:

Անգնահատելի է նրա ավանդը գիտամանկավարժական բնագավառում եւ երիտասարդների ներգրավմամբ ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Ֆիզիկայի կիրառական պրոբլեմների ինստիտուտի գիտահետազոտական աշխատանքներում:

Ալպիկ  Մկրտչյանը հայտնի է նաեւ իր հասարակական գործունեությամբ: Նա իր  անձնական ներդրումն ունեցավ Սպիտակի երկրաշարժից տուժածներին եւ ազգային ազատագրական շարժման ժամանակահատվածում փախստականներին օգնություն կազմակերպելու գործում: Նա մեծ աշխատանք է կատարել Հայաստանի շրջաններում դատարկ գյուղերի վերականգման ու վերաբնակեցման, Արցախում սոցիալ-տնտեսական ու գիտամանկավարժական բազայի զարգացման ուղղությամբ:

Գիտական ոլորտում ունեցած նվաճումների համար Ալպիկ Մկրտչյանը պարգեւատրվել է «Հայրենիքին մատուցած ծառայությունների համար» 1-ին աստիճանի շքանշանով, «Անանիա Շիրակացի»  մեդալով, ԵՊՀ-ի, ԵՊՃՀ-ի, Սուրբ Ղազանչեցոց Ամենափրկիչ, ՀՀ ԿԳՆ գիտության պետական կոմիտեի եւ ՀՀ ԿԳ նախարարության ոսկե մեդալներով, ՌԴ Պրոխորովի անվան Ինժեներական ակադեմիայի կողմից Ա.Ի. Բերգի, Ն.Ն. Սեմյոնովի եւ Յու.Ա. Գագարինի անվան ոսկե մեդալներով, Георгий Победоносец ոսկե մեդալով: Ազգին մատուցած ծառայությունների համար ակադեմիկոս Ալպիկ Մկրտչյանն արժանացել է Ամենայն Հայոց Վեհափառ Վազգեն Առաջինի պարգեւ-հուշամեդալին: Ստացել է Կուրչատովի անվան մրցանակ: Պարգեւատրվել է Դավիթ Անհաղթի արծաթե մեդալով: Պարգեւատրվել է Лауреат евразийской премии 2016, Наука специальный приз ոսկե մեդալով եւ բազմաթիվ այլ պարգեւներով ու շքանշաններով:

ՀՀ Գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիան, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ ֆիզիկայի եւ աստղաֆիզիկայի բաժանմունքը, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Ֆիզիկայի կիրառական պրոբլեմների ինստիտուտը, գիտական հանրությունը սգում են անվանի գիտնականի մահը եւ իրենց ցավակցությունն են հայտնում ակադեմիկոս Ալպիկ Մկրտչյանի հարազատներին եւ գործընկերներին: 

Ակադեմիկոս Ալպիկ Մկրտչյանի հոգեհանգստի արարողությունը տեղի կունենա հոկտեմբերի 24-ին՝ ժամը 18:00-ից մինչեւ 20:00-ը, Սուրբ Հովհաննես Մկրտիչ եկեղեցում (Կոնդ)` Երեւանի Կոզեռնի փող. 15 հասցեում: Հրաժեշտի արարողությունը տեղի կունենա հոկտեմբերի 25-ին՝ ժամը 11:00-12:30-ը, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ նախագահության շենքում (Երեւան, Մարշալ Բաղրամյան պողոտա 24), ժամը 13:00-14:30-ին՝ ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Ֆիզիկայի կիրառական պրոբլեմների ինստիտուտում (Երեւան, Հրաչյա Ներսիսյան 25): Հուղարկավորությունը տեղի կունենա հոկտեմբերի 25-ին՝ ժամը 14:30-ին, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Ֆիզիկայի կիրառական պրոբլեմների ինստիտուտից:
