Վրաստանի մայրաքաղաք Թբիլիսիի կենտրոնում՝ Ամաղլեբա փողոցի թիվ 18 հասցեում է գտնվում «Հովհաննես Թումանյանի տուն» գիտական, մշակութային կենտրոնը: Ամենայն հայոց բանաստեղծի տունն այսօր կրկին մարդաշատ է. Թումանյանի ծննդյան 150-ամյակին նվիրված մշակութային ծրագրով հայ մեծ գրողի հյուրընկալ հարկի ներքո են հավաքվել հայ և վրացի մտավորականները: Երբեմնի բարի ավանդույթը վերականգնված է:

«Պաշտոնական իմ առաջին այցի ժամանակ, երբ հանդիպեցի Թբիլիսիի գործընկերոջս հետ, պայմանավորվեցինք, որ երկու մայրաքաղաքների մշակութային կապերի ամրապնդման համար պետէ է անենք ամեն ինչ: Հենց առաջին մտքից պարզ էր, որ այդ կապերի ամրապնդման հիմնաքարը պետք է դրվի Թբիլիսիի Թումանյանի տանը, որտեղ ժամանակին մեր հայ և վրաց մտավորականներն են իրենց երեկոներն անցկացրել: Եվ միտք հղացավ, որ մենք կարողանանք ևս մեկ անգամ այդ մթնոլորտը վերականգնել: Այն մթնոլորտը, որը տիրում է հիմա այս պատերից ներս, հավաստում է, որ մենք ճիշտ ուղու վրա ենք»,- նշել է Տիգրան Վիրաբյանը:

«Վերնատուն» գրական խմբակն իր գործուն շրջանում այլ հասցե ուներ , բայց այստեղ էլ Թումանյանին շարունակել են այցելել ժամանակի նշանավոր մշակութային ու հասարակական գործիչները՝ Ղազարոս Աղայանը, Լևոն Շանթը, Կոմիտասը և ուրիշներ: Հիմա էլ ավանդույթը շարունակում են մերօրյա մշակութային գործիչները:

«Թումանյանի օրոք այս տունը կենդանություն էր առնում այսպիսի հավաքներով: Մեզ համար շատ ուրախալի է, որ շուրջ 100 տարի անց ավանդույթը վերականգնվում է: Այսօր Թումանյանի տան զարկերակը յուրաքանչյուրիս սրտում է խփում, մեզանից յուրաքանչյուրի շնչով ապրում է այս տունը»,-նշել է կենտրոնի տնօրեն Գիսանե Հովսեփյանը:

Ջերմ և անմիջական զրույց, բազմաթիվ հիշողություններ ու պատմություններ. ամենայն հայոց բանաստեղծի տանը մշակութային կապերի ամրապնդման նոր հիմքեր են դրվում: Երևանի քաղաքապետի տեղակալ Տիգրան Վիրաբյանն ու Թբիլիսիի քաղաքապետի տեղակալ Սոֆիո Խունտսարիան վստահեցնում են` երկու մայրաքաղաքների համագործակցության ընդլայնմանը միտված նմանատիպ նախաձեռնություններ դեռ շատ կլինեն:

Թումանյանի տանը հին լուսանկարներ են, կա հարուստ գրադարան, հինավուրց հայելի և բուխարի։ Շուրջ 170 տարվա վաղեմության իրեր, որոնք այցելուներին վերադարձնում են 20-րդ դարասկզբի թիֆլիսյան իրականություն։

Հովհաննես Թումանյանն իր ընտանիքի հետ 1903թ. տեղափոխվել ու մինչև վախճանը ապրել է հենց այս բնակարանում։
