Ռուսաստանի Պաշտպանության նախարարությունում՝ մեկնաբանելով «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման առաջնորդ Աբու Բաքրա ալ-Բաղդադիի չեզոքացման շուրջ ԱՄՆ-ի գործողությունները, նշել են, որ Վաշինգտոնը պետք է ներկայացնի ուղիղ ապացույցներ նրա ներկայության մասին Իդլիբի տարածքում, որը վերահսկվում է «Ջաբխաթ ան-Նուսրա»-ի ահաբեկիչների կողմից, հաղորդում է RT-ը:

Այդ մասին ասվում է Ռուսաստանի Պաշտպանության նախարարության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ գեներալ մայոր Իգոր Կոնաշենկովի մեկնաբանության մեջ:

Նա նշել է, որ այդ խմբավորումը «միշտ անզիջում կերպով տեղում ոչնչացրել է ԻՊ-ին եւ դրա յուրաքանչյուր ներկայացուցչին՝ որպես Սիրիայում իշխանության համար գլխավոր մրցակցի», այդ պատճառով, պաշտպանության նախարարության ներկայացուցչի հաղորդմամբ, ԻՊ-ի նախկին առաջնորդի հանգիստ տեղաշարժը «սիրիական Ալ-Քաիդայի» հսկողության ներքո գտնվող տարածքներում առնվազն պահանջում է ուղիղ ապացույցներ ԱՄՆ-ի կամ հատուկ գործողությունների մյուս մասնակիցների կողմից:
