Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչումը կօգնի կանխել ցեղասպանության կրկնությունը։ Այս մասին Twitter-ի իր էջում գրել է ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի մեծամասնության առաջնորդ, դեմոկրատ Սթեյն Հոյերը։ «Ես մամուլին ասել եմ, որ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատն այսօր կքվեարկի Թուրքիայի դեմ պատժամիջոցների մասին նախագծի հարցով։ Սիրիայի հյուսիսային մասում Թուրքիայի գործողությունները ԱՄՆ-ի եւ NATO-ի մեր դաշնակիցների լուրջ անհանգստությունն են առաջացնում։ Պալատը նաեւ կքվեարկի Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման համար, որը կարեւոր քայլ է եւ կօգնի կանխել ցեղասպանության կրկնությունը»,- գրել է նա։

Ավելի վաղ կոնգրեսական Դեւին Նունյեսը նույնպես Կոնգրեսի անդամներին եւ Թրամփի վարչակազմին կոչ էր արել ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը։ «Ես Կոնգրեսի բոլոր անդամներին, ինչպես նաեւ Թրամփի վարչակազմին կոչ եմ անում ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, 20-րդ դարի ամենաանխիղճ հանցագործություններից մեկը»,-  Twitter-ում գրել է նա։ Նշենք, որ ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատում այսօր տեղի է ունենում Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման բանաձեւի նախագծի քննարկում։
