Երեւանի կենդանաբանական այգու տնօրեն Ռուբեն Խաչատրյանը հրաժարականի դիմում է ներկայացրել:

Այս առնչությամբ նրա տարածած հայտարարության մեջ ասվում է.

«Հարգելի՛ գործընկերներ, ընկերներ, բարեկամներ,

Երեւանի կենդանաբանական այգու շուրջ վերջին օրերի իրադարձությունները, չհանգստացող կրքերն ու թափառող շների հարձակումները այգում պահվող կենդանիների վրա հաշվի առնելով, չբացառելով դրանում առկա մարդկային գործոնը, սակայն չխախտելով նաեւ անմեղության կանխավարկածը, որոշում եմ կայացրել դադարեցնել Երեւանի կենդանաբանական այգու տնօրենի լիազորությունները:

Պաշտոնավարմանս 8 տարիների ընթացքում Երեւանի կենդանաբանական այգին գրանցել է տեսանելի առաջընթաց, վերանորոգվել, բարեկարգվել եւ կառուցվել են եվրոպական չափանիշներին համապատասխանող ազատավանդակներ, ներմուծվել Երեւանում երբեւէ չցուցադրված կենդանիներ, բարձրացվել կենդանաբուժական ծառայությունների ստանդարտը, այգին դարձել է Եվրոպական կենդանաբանական այգիների եւ ակվարիումների միջազգային ասոցիացայի թեկնածու անդամ:

Թեպետ որոշումը կայացրել եմ Երեւանի փոխքաղաքապետ Տիգրան Վիրաբյանի առաջարկով, լիահույս եմ, որ լիազորություններիս դադարեցման արդյունքում այլեւս կավարտվի կենդանիների անկումների շարանը (այդ թվում՝ թափառող շների հարձակումները), քանի որ աշխատանքիս թիրախում մշտապես ունեցել եմ կենդանիների բարեկեցությունն ու հանրային անվտանգությունը:

Պաշտոնապես հայտարարում եմ, որ մշտապես եղել եմ, եւ շարունակելու եմ լինել Երեւանի կենդանաբանական այգու կողքին՝ որպես աջակից, ինչպես նաեւ քաղաքային իշխանությունների թիմակից եւ ընկեր՝ մշտապես աջակցելով Այգու բարեկարգման որդեգրած ուղին առաջ տանելու հարցում:

Շնորհակալ եմ քաղաքային իշխանություններին՝ ցուցաբերած վստահության համար, եւ է՛լ ավելի շնորհակալ իմ թիմին՝ իր աշխատանքային պարտականությունները մշտապես գերակատարելու եւ Կենդանաբանական այգու թռիչքաձեւ զարգացման ուղին որդեգրելու համար»:
