ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Արարատ Միրզոյանը նոյեմբերի 8-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանում Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների դեսպան Լին Թրեյսիին, որին ուղեկցում էին Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ փոխդեսպան Քրիստոֆեր Սմիթը, ԱՄՆ Միջազգային զարգացման գրասենյակի հայաստանյան առաքելության տնօրեն Դեբորա Գրիզերը: Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է ՀՀ ԱԺ լրատվական ծառայությունը։

Ողջունելով հյուրերին՝ Արարատ Միրզոյանն անդրադարձել է ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի ներկայացուցիչների պալատի կողմից 296 բանաձեւի ընդունմանը: «Կարծում եմ, որ սա չափազանց կարեւոր քայլ էր գուցե ոչ միայն կամ ոչ այնքան Հայաստանի, որքան ԱՄՆ-ի եւ ողջ մարդկության համար, որովհետեւ բոլորս գիտենք, որ նման հանցագործությունների ճանաչման եւ դատապարտման միջոցով է միայն հնարավոր կանխել այդպիսի հանցագործությունների կրկնությունը: Հուսով եմ, որ տեսանելի ապագայում այս գործընթացն իր ամբողջական ավարտին կհասնի, եւ մենք կարող ենք փակել այս էջը»,- ասել է ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը: Նա ողջունել է նաեւ ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից Հայաստանին տրամադրվող ֆինանսական աջակցության 40 տոկոսով ավելացումը եւ նշել, որ այն ոլորտները, որոնց համար նախանշված է այս աջակցությունը, չափազանց կարեւոր են Հայաստանի համար՝ կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքար, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանություն, էներգետիկ բարեփոխումներ եւ այլն: ԱԺ նախագահը եւս մեկ անգամ հաստատել է, որ Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած եւ տեղի ունեցող ժողովրդավարական զարգացումները նոր հիմք են, որպեսզի ՀՀ-ի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի միջեւ հարաբերությունները մի նոր մակարդակի հասցվեն եւ է՛լ ավելի զարգանան:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել է Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ գործընկերության օրակարգին վերաբերող հարցերի լայն շրջանակ, այն ուղղությունները, որոնց շուրջ կողմերը կհամագործակցեն: Անդրադարձ է կատարվել կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարին, դատաիրավական եւ ոստիկանական բարեփոխումներին, օրենսդրական բարեփոխումների ընթացքում համագործակցությանը, ինչպես նաեւ ԱՄՆ աջակցությամբ իրականացվելիք նոր ծրագրերին, մասնավորապես զբոսաշրջության, ջրային ռեսուրսների կառավարման, ՏՏ, գյուղատնտեսության եւ մի շարք այլ ոլորտներում:

Դեսպանը գոհունակություն է հայտնել հայկական կողմի հետ աշխատանքներից եւ վերահաստատել Միացյալ Նահանգների լիակատար աջակցությունը ՀՀ իշխանություններին ու Հայաստանում իրականացվող ժողովրդավարական բարեփոխումներին:

Արարատ Միրզոյանը կարեւորել է ԱՄՆ-ի հետ փորձի փոխանակումը Հայաստանում իրականացվող բարեփոխումների ընթացքում:
