ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ասել է, որ Իրանը ծրագրում էր գրոհներ կատարել ամերիկյան չորս դեսպանատների վրա։

Երբ Fox News հեռուստաալիքի եթերում նրան հարցրին, թե ինչն է հանգեցրել ԱՄՆ ՌՕՈւ-ի կողմից Բաղդադի օդանավակայանին հարվածելուն, որի հետեւանքով զոհվել է իրանցի գեներալ Ղասեմ Սոլեյմանին, նա ասել է. «Ես կարող եմ ասել, որ ես կարծում եմ, հավանաբար, դրանք կարող էին լինել չորս դեսպանատներ»։

Միեւնույն ժամանակ, ԱՄՆ Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության ներկայացուցիչները հավաստիացնում են՝ հղում կատարելով հետախուզական տվյալներին, որ իրենք դեսպանությունների գրոհի ծրագրերի մասին տեղեկություններ չեն ունեցել։

Նշվում է, որ Դոնալդ Թրամփը առաջին անգամ դեսպանությունների մասին հայտարարությամբ հանդես է եկել Սպիտակ տանը, այնուհետեւ կրկնել է այն Օհայո նահանգում ընտրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ։
