Արցախի Հանրապետության նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանը հունվարի 28-ին շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել Հայրենյաց պաշտպանի օրվա առթիվ:

«Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ, Արցախի Հանրապետության իշխանությունների եւ անձամբ իմ անունից ի սրտե շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ Հայրենյաց պաշտպանի օրվա առթիվ:

Շնորհավորում եմ մեր ողջ ժողովրդին՝ Արցախում, Հայաստանում եւ Սփյուռքում, որովհետեւ սա բոլորիս տոնն է:

Սա աշխարհասփյուռ մեր քույրերի ու եղբայրների տոնն է, ովքեր Հայրենիքի համար օրհասական պահին տարբեր երկրներից շտապեցին Արցախ եւ կանգնեցին նրա պաշտպանության դիրքերում: Այսօր էլ նրանք իրենց անգնահատելի ավանդն են բերում Արցախի շենացման ու զարգացման հայրենանվեր գործին:

Սա սահմանամերձ գոտում ապրող գյուղացու տոնն է, ով իր ամենօրյա աշխատանքով պահում է հող հայրենին եւ պաշտպանում այն, ուսուցիչների տոնն է, ովքեր դաստիարակում են հայրենիքի արժանի պաշտպանների, բժիշկների տոնն է, ովքեր, վտանգելով իրենց կյանքը, մարտի դաշտում փրկում էին հազարավոր մարդկանց կյանքեր:

Եվ, վերջապես, սա Մեծ Հայրենականի եւ Արցախյան ազատամարտի մեր վետերանների, ոստիկանության եւ ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության վետերանների եւ ծառայողների տոնն է, Հայրենիքի պաշտպան մեր զինվորների, սպաների, գեներալների, բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր այսօր էլ անառիկ են պահում հայրենի երկրի սահմանները, իրենց անձնվեր ծառայությամբ ապահովում են հարազատ ժողովրդի անդորրն ու բնականոն գործունեությունը:

Փա՛ռք ու պատի՛վ բոլորին: Թող Աստված պահապան լինի մեր հայրենյաց պաշտպաններին, թող նրանց բազուկն անհաղթ լինի, կամքն՝ անկոտրում:

Հայրենիքի ազատության ու անկախության համար պայքարում իրենց կյանքն են զոհաբերել շատ քաջ հայորդիներ: Նրանց անունները ոսկե տառերով են գրվել հայ ժողովրդի նորագույն պատմության էջերում, նրանց հիշատակը միշտ վառ է մեր սրտերում: Հավե՜րժ փառք ու պատիվ մեր բոլոր նահատակներին:

Թանկագի՛ն բարեկամներ,

Այս նվիրական օրը մեկ անգամ եւս շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ եւ մաղթում խաղաղություն, բարօրություն ու մեծագույն հաջողություններ մեր երկրին ու  ժողովրդին, բոլոր հայ ընտանիքներին՝ երջանկություն  ու ամենայն բարիք»:
