Ալիև-Փաշինյան հանդիպումը թալանվածության զգացում է առաջացնում։ Այս մասին ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում  գրել է հրապարակախոս Վահան Իշխանյանը։

«Ի՞նչ է է ազգությունը, ազգային հավաքականություն՝ հիմնաված ընդհանուր պատմության ու պատմական հիշողության վրա։ Ազգի պատմությունը թալանելու նպատակը նրա երկրին տիրանալն է։

Ադրբեջանցի և թուրք գիտնականները հայոց պատմությունը մշտապես կեղծում են, որ վրան իրենց «պատմություն» հորինեն և արդարացնեն հայերի բնաջնջումը ու Պատմական Հայաստանի նվաճումը, ապա հիմնավորեն ագրեսիվ ախորժակը Արցախի ու Հայաստանի հանրապետությունների նկատմամբ։

Հայ և նաև այլ ազգի գիտնականնները մշտապես պայքարում են այդ կեղծիքների դեմ՝ պատասխան գրքերով և հոդվածներով, նաև քաղաքական հարթակներում է կռիվ գնում որի վկայությունն է Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանարչումը տարբեր երեկրների կողմից։ Մի խոսքով կռիվ է գնում պաշտպանելու անարդարությունից ճշմարտությունը, ինքնությունդ ու պատմությունդ։
Բայց ճնշող է, անպաշտպանության զգացողությունն է պատում, երբ միջազգային հարթակում Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի ղեկավարների բանավեճում պատմությունը կեղծում է Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարը՝ իրենց կեղծարարներից հղումներ անելով, Արցախն ու Երևանը, այսինքն ամբողջ Հայաստանը հռչակում ադրբեջանական, հայերին մեղադրում ոճիրներ գործելու մեջ, իսկ նրա դիմաց նստած Հայաստանի ղեկավարը, ով կոչված է անարդարության դեմ ճակատը պահելու, չի կարողանում հերքել կեղծիքները, ողորմելի վիճակում է հայտնվում խնդրելով միայն չհարձակվել։ Միջազգային հանրության աչքում Ալիևը Փաշինյանի ներկայությամբ Հայաստանը Ադրբեջանի վերածեց, առանց դիմադրության գողացավ պատմությունդ՝ Երևանը, Արցախը, ընդհանրապես հայրենիքդ, ողբերգություններդ՝ 100 ամյակով ձգվող հայոց ցեղասպանությունների իրողությունը։ Զգում ես էն մարդու պես, ում տունը եկել թալանել են, քանի որ պահակը աչք է փակել գողերի վրա, կամ նրա, ում տունը ձեռից առել են, քանի որ ոստիկանը չի առարկել»,-նշել է նա։
