Shamshyan.com-ի հաղորդմամբ ժամը 20:55-ի սահմաններում, Արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության Փրկարար ծառայության 911 օպերատիվ-կառավարման կենտրոն ահազանգ է ստացվել, որ Ներքին Չարբախի 11 և 1-ին փողոցների խաչմերուկում փլուզում է տեղի ունեցել և հողային աշխատանքներ կատարելիս 2 քաղաքացի մնացել են հողի շերտի տակ: 
Ինչպես դեպքի վայրից հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, ժամանել են մեծ թվով հրշեջ-փրկարարներ՝ 3 մարտական հաշվարկով, փրկարար-հոգեբաններ, Երևանի 1-03 շտապօգնության մի քանի հերթապահ խմբեր, ինչպես նաև հատուկ փրկարարական աշխատանքեր իրականացնող խումբը: 
Փրկարարները մոտ 2 ժամ աշխատեցին, որպեսզի հողաշերտի տակից դուրս բերեն հողի տակ մնացածների մարմինները և բժիշկները արձանագրեցին նրանց մահերը: Տեղում ուժեղացված ծառայություն են կատարում ոստիկանության Շենգավիթի բաժնի համայնքային ոստիկանության և քրեական հետախուզության բաժանմունքների ծառայողները:
 Ոստիկանների աշխատանքը ղեկավարում է ոստիկանության Շենգավիթի բաժնի պետ Արթուր Շմավոնյանը: Տեղում ուժեղացված ծառայություն են կատարում նաև Ճանապարհային ոստիկանության 1-ին սպայական գումարտակի 7-րդ դասակի ծառայողները: 
Դեպքի վայրում հավաքվածներն ասում էին, որ մահացածները Ներքին Չարբախի բնակիչներ, 38-ամյա Գագիկ Ղ.-ն էր և 52-ամյա Գարիկ Մ.-ն:
 Փաստի առթիվ Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Երևան քաղաքի քննչական վարչության Շենգավիթի քննչական բաժնում հարուցվել է քրեական գործ:
