Որքան էլ որ ՀՀ նախագահի հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունը հայտարարում է, որ «Հանրապետության նախագահի և վարչապետի միջև որեւէ գործարք-պայմանավորվածություն չկա եւ չի կարող լինել Ազգային ժողովի ընդունած «Ապօրինի ծագում ունեցող գույքի բռնագանձման մասին» օրենքի շուրջ» եւ «այդ ապատեղեկատվությունը պետք է դիտարկել հերթական անհեթեթությունների շարքում, որոնք պարբերաբար տարածվում են որոշ շրջանակների կողմից, որոնք մասնագիտացել են անլրջության հասնող դավադրությունների տեսությունների մեջ, եւ փորձում են կայանալ որպես կոնսպիրացիաների մեծ մոգեր», լուրերը, որ վարչապետի կողմից ճնշումներ են գործադրվում Արմեն Սարգսյանի նկատմամբ, որ այդ օրենքը ստորագրի, չեն դադարում:
Մեր աղբյուրները նշում են, որ այս տագնապալից փուլում, երբ բոլոր մակարդակներում վարչապետի եւ իշխանությունների դիրքերը թուլանում են, այդ օրենքը չընդունելը ծանր հարված կլինի նրանց հեղինակությանը, ուստի ամեն ինչ արվում է, որ ՀՀ նախագահը ստորագրի Սահմանադրության հետ բազում խնդիրներ ունեցող վիճահարույց օրենքը։
Իսկ օրենքը վավերացնելուն մնացել է ընդամենը 3 օր՝ վերջնաժամկետը մայիսի 11-ն է։ Նախագահի  աշխատակազմից մեզ ասացին, որ իրավաբանական բաժինը դեռ չի ավարտել իր ուսումնասիրությունները օրենքի հետ կապված եւ միայն մասնագիտական եզրակացությունը ստանալուց հետո է նախագահն իր որոշումը կայացնելու։ Չնայած ԱԺ-ն օրենքն ընդունել է ապրիլի 16-ին եւ այն կարող էր ստորագրվել շատ ավելի վաղ, այլ ոչ թե վերջին օրերին։
Մեզ ասացին, որ Արմեն Սարգսյանն, այնուամենայնիվ, դեռեւս ունի 3 ճանապարհ՝ պարզապես չստորագրել օրենքը եւ այդ դեպքում այն կստորագրի ԱԺ նախագահը։ Երկրորդը՝ օրենքն ուղարկել Սահմանադրական դատարան, ինչը քիչ հավանական է, քանի որ եթե աներ, ապա կաներ շատ ավելի վաղ։ Եւ, բնականաբար, երրորդ ճանապարհը․ տեղի տալով ճնշումներին՝ ստորագրել։
Նկատենք, որ Արմեն Սարգսյանը բաց է թողել Հայաստանի կյանքում գործոն դառնալու շանսը, քանզի անգամ իր պաշտոնի տնօրինած փոքրիկ լծակները չի օգտագործում եւ ինչ որ պահից վերածվել է գործադիր իշխանության կցորդի, ուստի ակնկալել, որ նա ինքնուրույն քայլ կանի եւ կհակադրվի Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին, որը չի թաքցրել իր մեծ «սպասելիքներն» այս օրենքից, իրատեսական չէ։
