Ադրբեջանը պաշտոնապես ընդունեց, որ ոչնչացվել են գեներալ-մայոր Փոլադ Հաշիմովը և գնդապետ Իլհամ Միրզոևը: Սա մեր Զինված ուժերի մեծագույն ձեռքբերումն է ու առհասարակ՝ մեր բանակը պատվով կատարում է իր առաջադրանքը։ Թշնամին համարժեք պատասխան է ստանում՝ դիրքեր կորցնելով, մարտի դաշտում թողելով բարձրաստիճան սպաներ։ Փառք ու պատիվ մեր հերոս տղաներին, սպայական կազմին, գեներալներին։
Բայց ժամանակակից աշխարհում պատերազմների բնույթը փոխվել է ու, ցավոք, մեր ռազմական հաջողությունները դեռ չունեն անհրաժեշտ դիվանագիտական ամրապնդում։ Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքականությունը հեղափոխությունից հետո որակապես չի փոխվել, ու Հայաստանի դաշնակիցների թիվն աշխարհում այդպես էլ չի ավելացել։ Այս առումով՝ վիճակը 2016-ին նման է․ մեր ռազմավարական դաշնակիցը շարունակում է պարիտետ պահպանել, ՀԱՊԿ-ում դարձյալ "խորթ որդու" կարգավիճակ ունենք՝ շրջապատված Բաքվի դաշնակիցներով, ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահությունը շարունակում է անհաղորդ մնալ հայկական կողմի փաստարկներին, իսկ Թուրքիան ու ԳՈւԱՄ-ի երկրները արագ ադրբեջանամետ հայտարարություններ արեցին, ինչն առնվազն նշանակում է՝ Բաքուն դիվանագիտական խողովակներով նախապատրաստել էր իր սադրանքը։
Հիմա քննադատություններ հնչեցնելու ժամանակը չէ, սակայն նման պասիվ, անատամ արտաքին քաղաքականությամբ մենք չենք կարող ամրապնդել մեր բանակի հաջողությունները։ Հայաստանն ոչ միայն նոր դաշնակիցներ ձեռք չի բերել, այլ նաև ակնհայտ ինստիտուցիոնալ ճգնաժամ է հայ-ռուսական հարաբերություններում։ Կրկնում եմ՝ խնդիրը քննադատությունը չէ, այլ՝ փաստի արձանագրումը, որ արտաքին քաղաքականությունը մնում է հետհեղափոխական Հայաստանի "աքիլեսյան գարշապարը"։ Հետևություններ անելու ժամանակն է։ Ընդ որում՝ հետևություններ պետք է արվեն թե բովանդակային առումով և թե արտաքին քաղաքականությանը նախաձեռնողականություն հաղորդելու իմաստով։
