Օգոստոսի2-ին կլրանար ականավոր գիտնական,երկրաբանահանքաբանական գիտությունների դոկտոր, պրոֆեսոր Արմեն Սաղաթելյանի 67-ամյակը:

Պրոֆեսոր Սաղաթելյանի կյանքի տարեգրությունըբազմավաստակ գիտնականի կենսագրություն է:

Անգնահատելի է նրա գիտական վաստակը ՀՀ երկրաքիմիական հետազոտությունների ոլորտում։ Հայաստանի համար ծանրագույն օրերին անգամպրոֆ. Սաղաթելյանը չի թողել գիտության առաջնագիծը: Իր գիտական բեղուն և հիմնարար գործունեության շնորհիվ Արմեն Սաղաթելյանն այսօր էլ մնում է հայկական երկրաքիմիական դպրոցի լավագույն այցեքարտը:

Անգնահատելի է անվանի երկրաբանի ներդրումը ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Էկոլոգանոոսֆերային հետազոտությունների կենտրոնի հիմնադրման և շրջակա միջավայրի երկրաքիմիայի ազգային գիտական դպրոցի ստեղծման գործում: Արմեն Սաղաթելյանի անմնացորդ նվիրման և բացառիկ ջանքերի շնորհիվ կենտրոնը կայացել է՝ հանրապետությունում և նրա սահմաններից դուրս ձեռքբերելով բարձր գիտական վարկանիշ ունեցող գիտահետազոտականկազմակերպության համբավ:

Լինելով ազգային շահերի նվիրյալ`պրոֆ. Սաղաթելյանը բազմիցս հանդես է եկել հանքավայրերի գործարկման հետևանքների, կառավարելի և անկառավարելի ռիսկերի, բնությանը հասցվող վնասների, ինչպես նաև ՀՀ-ում առկա բնապահպանական մի շարք խնդիրների վերաբերյալ մասնագիտական զեկույցներով, հարցազրույցներով և հանրային ելույթներով՝ պարզաբանելով և բարձրաձայնելով հնարավոր վտանգներն ու ռիսկերը, տալով ազգային շահերից բխող գիտահեն լուծումներ:

Նա Իրականացրել է հսկայածավալ աշխատանք Հայաստանյան գիտության միջազգայնացման ուղղությամբ:

Պրոֆ. Սաղաթելյանի գիտական գործունեության արդյունքը նրա թողած հարուստ գիտական ժառանգությունն է՝ բազմաթիվ գիտական աշխատանքներ, հոդվածներ, ուսումնամեթոդական ձեռնարկներ և մենագրություններ:

Նրա աշխատանքի արդյունավետության վկաներն են բազմաթիվ պետական ու միջազգային պարգևները: Իր գիտական վաստակով, մարդկային բարձր արժեքներով և որդեգրած անաչառ սկզբունքայնությամբ պրոֆեսոր Սաղաթելյաննարժանացել է համազգային և միջազգային ճանաչման՝ ձեռքբերելով գիտական պատկառելի հեղինակություն:

Նրա անցած ուղին և դավանած բարձր արժեքներն ուղենիշ են եղել իր ուսանողների և աշխատակիցների համար, ովքեր իրենց սրտում մշտապես պահելու են սիրելի ուսուցչի լուսավոր կերպարը, առաջնորդվելու են նրա պատգամներով, հպարտանալու են նրա գիտական մնայուն ժառանգությամբ:
