«Թուրքիան ու Ադրբեջանը մեկ ազգ, երկու պետություն են, այդ պատճառով էլ մենք, իհարկե, այստեղ [Հայաստան֊Ադրբեջան հակամարտության մեջ ― Razm.info] կողմ ենք համարվում։ Մենք իրավունքի, օրենքի, եղբայրության կողմ ենք»։

Այս մասին օգոստոսի 27-ին թուրքական պետական «Անադոլու» լրատվական գործակալության ուղիղ եթերում հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի պաշտպանության նախարար Հուլուսի Աքարը՝ պատասխանելով լրագրողի Հայաստան֊Ադրբեջան սահմանի վերջին իրադարձությունների մասին հարցին։

Թուրք լրագրողը նախարարին մասնավորապես հարցնում էր․ «Դուք և ԶՈւ հրամանատարները մեկնել էիք Ադրբեջան, ․․ համատեղ զորավարժությանը մասնակցեցիք։ Դա, իհարկե, Ադրբեջանին բացահայտ աջակցություն էր։ Տարածաշրջանի վերջին իրադարձությունների վերաբերյալ ի՞նչ գնահատական ունեք։ Թուրքիան այստեղ մի կո՞ղմ է, հիմնականում ընդգծել եք, որ կողմ եք։ Ընդհանրապես միջազգային հարաբերություններում միշտ զուսպ եք, սակայն այստեղ այդպիսի բան չկա, «ինչ էլ անեն, մենք նրանց կողմից ենք» մոտեցում կա», ինչին Աքարը պատասխանում է․ «Ադրբեջանի թուրքը մեր հարազատ եղբայրն է։ Այդ պատճառով մենք մեկ ազգ, երկու պետություն ենք։ Դրանում թող ոչ մեկ չկասկածի։ Այդ պատճառով էլ մենք, իհարկե, այստեղ կողմ ենք։ Իրավունքի կողմ ենք, օրենքի կողմ ենք, եղբոր և եղբայրության կողմ ենք»։

Հիշեցնենք, որ հուլիսի 12-ից Հայաստան֊Ադրբեջան սահմանի Տավուշի ուղղությամբ սկսված մարտերի վերաբերյալ Թուրքիայի տարբեր գերատեսչությունների ներկայացուցիչներ ու պաշտոնյաներ, այդ թվում՝ երկրի նախագահը, պաշտպանության և արտաքին գործերի նախարարները, սպառնալից հայտարարություններ արեցին՝ ի աջակցություն Ադրբեջանի, և նշեցին, որ «այս անգամ Հայաստանն անցել է իր չափը»։ Էրդողանը հայտարարեց, որ «Թուրքիան երբեք չի հապաղի Ադրբեջանի հողերի դեմ ցանկացած հարձակման առաջն առնել»։
