«Երեկ երեկոյան հրատապ միջնորդությամբ Միլանի քաղաքային խորհուրդը միաձայն ընդունեց Արցախի անկախությունը և, ինչպես նշված է միջնորդության մեջ, հանձնարարեց Միլանի քաղաքապետին և քաղաքի գործադիր իշխանություններին՝ «խնդրել Իտալիայի ազգային իշխանություններին ճանաչել Արցախի Հանրապետությունը՝ որպես քաղաքակրթության ակտ, որը կարող է հանգեցնել ոչ միայն արդարության իրագործմանը, այլ վերջ դնել լռությանը, որը վաղուց դառնում է հանցագործության մեղսակցություն»,- այս մասին գրառում է կատարել ԱԺ պատգամավոր Գայանե Աբրահամյանը։ Ավելի վաղ Մարիա Կարապետյանն էր ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել․ «Միլանի ավագանին ճանապարհ է հարթում Շտապ միջնորդություն՝ Իտալիայի իշխանությունների կողմից Արցախի Հանրապետության ճանաչման մասին Հաշվի առնելով, որ․ Արդեն մի քանի շաբաթ է, որ Արցախի Հանրապետության (Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի) խաղաղ քաղաքացիական բնակչությունը և բոլոր հաստատությունները (ներառյալ հիվանդանոցները, դպրոցները, տները, քաղաքացիական պաշտպանության կենտրոնները) հրետակոծվում և ոչնչացվում են Ադրբեջանի զինված ուժերի հրթիռային հարձակումներից՝ թուրքական բանակի զինվորների հստակ և հրապարակային օգնությամբ, ինչպես նաև Սիրիայից Թուրքիայի տարածքով տարածաշրջան նպատակային բերված իսլամական ահաբեկիչների օգնությամբ: Արցախի Հանրապետությունը (Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ) խորհրդանիշ է ամբողջ հայ ժողովրդի համար, որը ցրվել է աշխարհով մեկ՝ Օսմանյան Թուրքիայի կողմից իրականացված 20-րդ դարի առաջին Ցեղասպանության պատճառով: Հնագույն հայկական քաղաքակրթությունը փոխանցվել է դարերով սեփական լեռներում: Պատմության տարբեր փուլերում մշակութային վերածննդի նախաձեռնություններ և ազգային ինքնավարության և միավորման շարժումներ են կյանքի կոչվել։ Արցախի Հանրապետությունը (Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը) արդեն մեկ դար է հավակնում է միանալ՝ սկզբում սովետական և արդեն երեսուն տարի ինքնիշխան Հայաստանին: Եկել է պահը, որ աշխարհի երկրների արտաքին հարաբերությունների գերատեսչությունները պաշտոնապես ճանաչեն այս երկիրը, որն արդեն փաստացի հանրապետություն է, ունի ժողովրդավարական ճանապարհով իր ժողովրդի կողմից ընտրված պետական կառավարման համակարգը: Իտալիայի հայազգի քաղաքացիները՝ միավորված Իտալիայի հայերի միության մեջ խնդրում են Իտալիայի իշխանություններին ճանաչել այս փոքր երկիրը, որպեսզի այն դառնա մեր կառավարության անմիջական և ինքնուրույն զրուցակիցը: Այս գործողությամբ մենք ոչ միայն կօգնենք վերականգնել պատմական և արդի ճշմարտությունը, այլ նաև կօգնենք դադարեցնել ադրբեջանա-թուրքա-ահաբեկչական եռամիավորման կողմից իրականացվող լուրջ ռազմական հարձակումները, որոնք բազմաթիվ զոհերի և մեծ թվով վիրավորների պատճառ են դառնում խաղաղ բնակչության շրջանում և ոչնչացում ենթակառուցվածքներ: Քաղաքային խորհուրդը հանձնարարում է․ Քաղաքապետին և քաղաքի գործադիր իշխանություններին խնդրել մեր ազգային իշխանություններին ճանաչել Արցախի Հանրապետությունը՝ որպես քաղաքակրթության ակտ, որը կարող է հանգեցնել ոչ միայն արդարության իրագործմանը, այլ վերջ դնել լռությանը, որը վաղուց դառնում է հանցագործության մեղսակցություն»:
