Այսօր նամակով դիմել եմ Եվրոպայի պահպանողականների և ռեֆորմիստների դաշինքի խորհրդի անդամներին, որտեղ ներկայացրել եմ Արցախում և Հայաստանի սահմաններին ծավալվող պատերազմական գործողությունները և հույս եմ հայտնել, որ Եվրոպական միության գործընկերները հստակ գնահատական կտան տիրող իրավիճակին: Նամակում մասնավորապես նշված է.
«Հարգելի՛ գործընկերներ և Եվրոպայի պահպանողականների և ռեֆորմիստների դաշինքի խորհրդի անդամներ, սիրելի՛ բարեկամներ.
Նախ ուզում եմ շնորհակալություն հայտնել իմ անազատության մեջ գտնվելու ընթացքում ձեր ցուցաբերած աջակցության և մտահոգության համար: Ինձ տեղեկացրել են ձեր բոլոր նախաձեռնությունների և աջակցությունների մասին: Ես շատ բարձր եմ գնահատում մեր գործընկերությունը: Ինչպես արդեն գիտեք, այսօր թուրքական և ադրբեջանական ուժերը պատերազմ են մղում Արցախում և Հայաստանի սահմանի մոտակայքում: Նրանք ոչնչացրել են տներ, ձեռնարկություններ, դպրոցներ և եկեղեցիներ: Հակառակորդի զինվորների անխնա հարձակման զոհ են դարձել անմեղ քաղաքացիական անձինք:
Քաղաքացիական բնակչության շրջանում բազմաթիվ զոհեր կան, մարդու իրավունքները ոտնահարվում են ամենադաժան եղանակով, հակառակորդը հրետանային արկերից բացի, մեր խաղաղ բնակավայրերում սկսել է օգտագործել նաև քիմիական զինատեսակներ: Չնայած վերջին 40 օրվա ընթացքում մեր երկրի վրա այս անողոք հարձակմանը, մենք դեռ չենք տեսել որևէ շոշափելի աջակցություն Եվրամիության կողմից: Մենք միայնակ ենք այս պայքարում: Եվ չնայած Եվրոպական խորհուրդը որոշ հայտարարություններ է արել Թուրքիայի գործողությունների վերաբերյալ, այնուամենայնիվ տիրող վիճակի վերաբերյալ ամբողջական գնահատական դեռ չի տրվել: Ձեզանից շատերն իմ հրավերով այցելել են Արցախ և տեսել, թե որքան ստեղծագործող և խաղաղասեր մարդիկ են ապրում այնտեղ:
Այսօր արդեն այդ նույն մարդիկ և նրանց ընտանիքները գտնվում են վտանգի տակ, քանզի ամեն օր ենթարկվում են հարձակումների Ադրբեջանի և Թուրքիայի կողմից: Ես կոչ եմ անում ձեզ, որպեսզի չլռեք: Ցավոք, միջազգային հանրությունը կարծես անտարբեր է այս ողբերգության նկատմամբ: Կարծում եմ, որ համատեղ ջանքերով մենք կարող ենք կանխել այն ցեղասպանությունը, որն այսօր իրականացվում է մեր հին քրիստոնեական քաղաքակրթության դեմ: Դուք պետք է ձեր ձայնը բարձրացնեք: Այսօր ձեզանից յուրաքանչյուրը կարող է նպաստել հրադադարի ռեժիմի պարտադրմանը և օգնել դադարեցնել արյունահեղությունը: Ձեր միջազգային ճնշմամբ մենք կարող ենք ապահովել, որ Ադրբեջանն ու Թուրքիան հարգեն միջազգային նորմերը, վերջ տան այս հակամարտությանն ու ողբերգությանը: Սպասում եմ ձեր արձագանքներին և կանխավ շնորհակալ եմ աջակցության համար»:
