«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է.

Արցախը հանձնած Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը երեկ «լայվը» «լայվի» ետեւից էր մտնում ու մեղավորների փնտրտուքով էր զբաղված՝ սկզբում նախկիններն էին, հետո՝ կամավորները, զինվորականները, որոնք չցանկացան կռվել, ընդդիմությունը։ Ապա հայտարարեց, որ  տխրահռչակ փաստաթղթի տակ ինքը որոշել է ստորագրել՝ հենվելով բանակի տված ինֆորմացիայի վրա։ «Բանակը շարունակաբար պնդել է նման քայլի գնալու անհրաժեշտությունը»։ Այս հայտարարությունը շոկ է առաջացրել ՀՀ զինված ուժերում, քանզի միշտ են զեկուցել, որ զենքը կա, զինվորը կա, մնում է հրամաններ տալ՝ հարձակվելու։

Մեղքը բանակի վրա գցելու վերաբերյալ «Հենակետ» վերլուծական կենտրոնի ղեկավար Տիգրան Աբրահամյանը տարակուսանք հայտնեց՝ ինչո՞ւ Փաշինյանը որոշում չէր կայացնում 40 օր առաջ, երբ կարգավորման առաջին առաջարկներն էր ստացել։ «Ու լրիվ այլ բովանդակության մեջ՝ ԱԳՆ-ի, բանակի, մյուս կառույցների զեկույցները չէի՞ն հետաքրքրում, թե՞ վեջիդ չէր։ Չհամարձակվես բոլոր ուղղություններով տապալումներդ զինված ուժերի վրա բարդես։ Չփորձես»,- ասաց նա։ Հետաքրքրվեցինք՝ իսկ 40 օր առաջ ի՞նչ տարբերակ է առաջարկվել։ «Այդ առաջարկները հնչել են հրապարակային, նախ ՌԴ արտգործնախարարի, ապա ՌԴ նախագահի կողմից։ Դրանք ակնհայտորեն այն տարբերակը չէին, որոնք վերջնական տարբերակում դրվել են Հայաստանի վարչապետի սեղանին եւ ստորագրվել։ Դրանցում չկային Շուշին, միջանցքը, Մեղրիի հետ կապված դետալներ եւ այլն»։
