Նոյեմբերի 26-ի ուշ երեկոյան վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը գրառում է արել, որ մեկ ժամվա ընթացքում երկու հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել ՌԴ նախագահ Պուտինի հետ: Նա նշել է, որ զրույցի ընթացքում խոսել են եռակողմ համաձայնագրից հետո ստեղծված վիճակի, մարդասիրական հարցերի, սահմանագծման խնդիրների, Բերձորի բնակավայրերի մասին: Փաշինյանը նշել է, որ այդպիսի հեռախոսազրույցներ ունենում է Պուտինի հետ գրեթե ամեն օր, օրական մի քանի անգամ, եւ այդ իսկ պատճառով ոչ միշտ են բարձրաձայնում դրանց մասին:

Նոյեմբերի 26-ի բարձրաձայնումը տեղի է ունեցել Սոթքի իրադարձություններից հետո, երբ ադրբեջանցի զինվորականները հայտնվել են հանքի տարածքում եւ փաստացի դրել Սոթքի ոսկու հանքը վերցնելու պահանջ: Սոթքի հանքավայրը շահագործում է ռուսական կապիտալով ընկերություն: Հանքը գտնվում է մի մասով Հայաստանի, մյուս մասով Ադրբեջանի տարածքում՝ ԽՍՀՄ քարտեզագրման համաձայն: Ընդ որում, այդ քարտեզագրումն էլ միարժեք չէ, որովհետեւ կան մի քանի ժամանակագրական տարբերակներ, ինչը մանսագետներին հիմք է տալիս նշել, որ հանքը ամբողջապես Հայաստանի սահմանում է:

Ադրբեջանցիները ինչպես մետր առ մետր առաջացել են Արցախի տարածքում պատերազմի ժամանակ, հասնելով Շուշի, այդպես էլ հետպատերազմյան այսպես կոչված սահմանագծման ընթացքում անելու են ամեն ինչ մետր առ մետր դեպի Հայաստանի տարածք խորանալու համար: Դա միանգամայն հասկանալի պահվածք է: Անհասկանալին այն է լինելու, որ նույն պահվածքը չդրսեւորի Հայաստանը, որպեսզի պատերազմի հետ դադարի նաեւ պարտությունը:

Այլապես առկա է իրավիճակ, երբ պատերազմը դադարել է, իսկ պարտությունը շարունակվում է: Իսկ դա ընդամենը նոր պատերազմի նախադրյալ է, թե քանի տարի անց, այլ հարց է, բայց պարտության ռեժիմի շարունակությունը նշանակում է նոր պատերազմի գեներացիա:

Հետեւաբար, Սոթքի խնդիրը լոկ հանքի խնդիր չէ, թեեւ ինքնին դա չափազանց կարեւոր տնտեսական ռեսուրսի համար պայքար է: Սոթքի խնդիրը ընդհանրապես ռազմավարական խնդիրների համատեքստում է, որ կան այժմ Հայաստանի առաջ: Խնդիրներ, որոնց լուծման բանալին սակայն Հայաստանի ձեռքում չէ հայտնի եռակողմ համաձայնագրի տրամաբանությամբ:
