Գրիգորյանը, մասնավորապես, գրել է.

«Հարգելի ընկերներ ու գործընկերներ։

Հաշվի առնելով երկրում ստեղված աղետալի ու օրհասական վիճակը, գիտակցելով որ ազգի, ազգային պետության կայացման գերնպատակը վեր է անհատական, խմբակային, քաղաքական և այլ նմանատիպ շահերից, որոշում եմ կայացրել հրաժարվել մարզպետի տեղակալի(փոխմարզպետի) իմ պաշտոնից։ Այս պաշտոնը պետականաշինության, ռեֆորմների, քաղաքական որոշումների կայացման որևէ լծակ իր մեջ չի պարունակում, միաժամանակ կաշկանդելով իմ գաղափարական, քաղաքացիական ազատ գործունեությունը։

Հասկանում եմ, որ նախկին ու ներկա, սև ու սպիտակ, կուսակցական ու կլանային բաժանումները մշտապես մասնատելով, պառակտելով ազգային ամբողջականությունը, չեն լուծել և չեն էլ կարող լուծել մեր առջև ծառացած խնդիրները, այդ իսկ պատճառով այժմ իմ ողջ կարողությունները ներդնելու եմ ազգային ինքնության և դրա հիմք հանդիսացող ազգային արժեհամակարգի վրա հիմնված նոր պետականության կերտման աշխատանքներին։

Միաժամանակ շնորհակալություն եմ հայտնում բոլոր իմ գործընկերներին, ովքեր այս ընթացքում վստահել էին ինձ ու որոնց հետ աշխատել եմ՝ փորձելով օգտակար լինել Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանը։ Իրավիճակը ստիպում է մեզ գնալ արմատական փոփոխությունների, փոխմարզպետի պաշտոնից հրաժարումը ոչ թե պատասխանատվությունից խուսափելու ձև է, այլ ընդհակառակը՝ պատասխանատվություն ստանձնելու և ստեղված իրավիճակից հաղթական ելքեր ու քայլեր գտնելու այլընտրանք չունեցող միջոց։
