Изменения в политике конфиденциальности и пользовательском соглашении мессенджера WhatsApp увеличивают риск глобальной слежки американских спецслужб за пользователями, а также манипулирования их мнением, говорится в исследовании Научно-технического центра (НТЦ) ФГУП «Главный радиочастотный центр»

WhatsApp внес изменения в свои Условия использования и Политику приватности 4 января 2021 года.

Эксперты напомнили, что WhatsApp, Facebook и Instagram подчиняются законам США, где компании обязаны предоставлять спецслужбам соответствующий доступ и ключи шифрования даже без специальных оснований, установленных законом, передает РИА Новости.

«Имея столь широкие полномочия и значительные материально-технические ресурсы, американские спецслужбы могут осуществлять тотальный государственный шпионаж не только за своими гражданами, но и за миллионами пользователей по всему миру», - отмечают авторы исследования.

Новая политика приватности также позволяет манипулировать мнением пользователей. Как поясняется в исследовании, ключевым риском в данной ситуации является тот факт, что оператор получает возможность «склеить» аккаунты пользователя в WhatsApp с аккаунтами в Facebook и Instagram, который также принадлежит Facebook, создав уникальный профиль пользователя с огромным количеством характеристик, что позволит, применяя технологии искусственного интеллекта, не только просчитывать поведение пользователя, но и «программировать его определенным образом, воздействуя на чувствительные для пользователя "триггеры" специально подаваемой информацией».

Кроме того, в новой редакции пользовательского соглашения речь идет о передаче личных данных пользователей мессенджера компании Facebook, владеющей сервисом. «Так, начиная с 2014 года, мессенджер передает значительный объем пользовательских данных компаниям Facebook: номер телефона пользователя, номера телефонов контактов из записной книжки, адресат, время отправки и прочтения сообщений, местонахождение и параметры пользовательского устройства и так далее», - напоминают авторы исследования.
