«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝ օրեր առաջ ընդդիմության լիդերների հանդիպում է տեղի ունեցել: Տեղեկացանք, որ հանդիպմանը ներկա են գտնվել ՀՀ նախկին նախագահներ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանն ու Սերժ Սարգսյանը, ԲՀԿ առաջնորդ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը, «Հայրենիք» կուսակցության առաջնորդ Արթուր Վանեցյանը, ՀՅԴ ԳՄ ներկայացուցիչ Իշխան Սաղաթելյանն ու ՀՓՇ վարչապետի թեկնածու Վազգեն Մանուկյանը:

Ըստ մեր տեղեկությունների՝ հանդիպման ժամանակ քննարկվել է գործող իշխանությունների հետ հունիսի 20-ին արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների գնալու հարցը: Մենք տեղեկացանք, որ շատ նեղսրտած է եղել հատկապես Վազգեն Մանուկյանը, որը հայտարարել է, թե ինքը չի պատրաստվում ընտրություններին մասնակցել, ավելին՝ շարունակելու է փողոցային պայքարը, որի միջոցով վստահ է՝ կկարողանա հասնել ցանկալի արդյունքի:

Վազգեն Մանուկյանն իր խոսքում նշել է, որ հավաքված ուժերն այդպես էլ իրենց ողջ ռեսուրսը չօգտագործեցին ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին պաշտոնանկ անելու համար, ինչի համար էլ այսօր ունեն նման իրավիճակ, երբ Փաշինյանն է որոշում՝ երբ եւ ինչ ձեւաչափով պետք է գնան ընտրությունների:

Ավելին՝ Մանուկյանն իր խոսքը կառուցել է` ակնարկելով, որ իրենց ներսում եղան ուժեր, ովքեր իշխանությունների հետ բանակցությունների գնացին, նրանց հետ հաշվի նստեցին, դրա համար էլ իրենք պարտվեցին:

Լիդերներից մի քանիսը փորձել են Մանուկյանին վստահեցնել, որ միայն այս տարբերակով կարող են հասնել իշխանափոխության, բայց Մանուկյանն անդրդվելի է մնացել: Իսկ ինչ վերաբերում է ընտրություններին մասնակցելու ձեւաչափին, ապա ընդդիմության լիդերները վերջնական որոշում չունեն: Կարծես թե, բացի ՀՅԴ-ից ու Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանից, բոլորը կարծում են, թե պետք է ընտրություններին մասնակցել առանձին-առանձին: ՀՅԴ-ն ու Քոչարյանը հավանաբար կմասնակցեն «Քոչարյան» դաշինքով»:
