«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է․ ««Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը իշխանական իր աղբյուրներից տեղեկացավ, որ ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի՝ Սյունիք կատարած այցը երկար ժամանակ ծրագրված էր, եւ այս ընթացքում նախապատրաստական աշխատանքներ էին ընթանում, պարզապես որոշված չէր, թե կոնկրետ որ օրն է այն լինելու: Իր այցից առաջ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը Սյունիքի մարզ էր ուղարկել կառավարության ներկայացուցիչներին, տարածքային կառավարման եւ ենթարկառուցվածքների նախարար Սուրեն Պապիկյանին: Նրան հանձարարված է եղել գնալ եւ իմանալ, թե ինչ իրավիճակ է այնտեղ, ինչպիսի տրամադրություններ են Սյունիքի մարզում: Հունիսի 20-ին պլանավորված արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից առաջ Փաշինյանը խնդիր է դրել ցույց տալ, թե ինչքան բարի եւ ներողամիտ լիդեր է, ինչքան ագրեսիվ են իր դեմ պայքարողները: Նա ցանկանում է հալածյալի կերպարով հանդես գալ հանրության մոտ, որպեսզի նախկինների նկատմամբ դիվիդենտներ հավաքելով՝ ձայներ հավաքի: Կոնկրետ Սյունիքի մարզում նա խնդիր է դրել ի ցույց դնել խուլիգանական տրամադրությունները, դրանք վերագրել նախկին իշխանության ներկայացուցիչներին՝ որպես բերված անձինք: Եվ որպեսզի այս ամենը տեղի չունենար նախընտրական քարոզչության շրջանում, սկանդալ լիներ, նա որոշեց նոյեմբերի 9-ի կառավարության եւ առանձնատան ջարդուփշուրի, թիկնազորին քաշքշելու սցենարով հիմա կազմակերպել ագրեսիայի բացթողումը, հասցնել պատժել ագրեսիվ սյունեցիներին, որպեսզի ընտրությունները ավելի կանխատեսելի միջավայրում անցկացվեն:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Սյունիքի մարզը մշտապես խնդիրներ է առաջացրել Փաշինյանի համար, քանի որ այնտեղ համայնքապետերը երբեք էլ չեն ենթարկվել իշխանություններին: Նրանք բոլորը խմբվել են «Զանգեզուրի պղնձամոլիբդենային կոմբինատ» ՓԲԸ ադմինիստրատիվ նախկին տնօրեն Վահե Հակոբյանի շուրջ, որը ստեղծել է նոր կուսակցություն: Երեկ կասկածներ էին հնչում, որ սյունեցիների ագրեսիան ուղղորդվում էր հենց Հակոբյանի կողմից: Եւ չնայած Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ամբողջ ընթացքում շրջում էր հայհոյանքների ներքո, այնուամենայնիվ, երեկ ԱԺ-ում իմքայլականները համոզմունք էին հայտնում, թե իրենք հաղթանակել են, քանի որ Փաշինյանը էլի ընկալվեց որպես նախկինների կողմից հալածվող»:
