Հայաստանի պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Վաղարշակ Հարությունյանի խոսքով` Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարությունը տեղյակ է, որ հայկական զինանոցում առկա հրթիռները կարող են ցանկացած կետ ոչնչացնել Ադրբեջանում, և ադրբեջանական ուժերը պաշտպանության միջոց չունեն:
Այսօր «Ազատության» հետ զրույցում Հարությունյանը մանրամասնեց, որ այս առումով իրավիճակը չի փոխվել անգամ վերջին շրջանում Բաքվի կողմից զինտեխնիկայի լայնածավալ ձեռքբերումներից հետո:
«Ինչ վերաբերում է մեր հրթիռային համակարգին, Ղարաբաղում 2012 թվականի զորահանդեսին այդ համակարգերը ցուցադրվել են: Դա հրթիռային համակարգ է, որը կարող է հասնել մինչև 300 կիլոմետրից հեռու գտնվող թիրախներին և ինքը ավելի հզոր է, և այդ համակարգն էլ ունենք: Չասեմ, թե դա ինչ վնաս կարող է հասցնել, կասեմ, որ Լև Ռոխլինի տպագրած գրքում հստակ նշված է, որ մասնագետները գնահատել են, թե ինչպիսին կարող են լինել այդ հրթիռների օգտագործման հետևանքները, և օրինակ, Ադրբեջանի դեպքում Բաքուն կարող է ոչնչացվել: Էլ չեմ ասում, եթե դա օգտագործվի Մինգեչաուրի ջրամբարի դեմ, որի հետևանքները ավելի լուրջ կլինեն: Խոսքը «Սկադ» հրթիռային համակարգերի մասին է», - ասաց Վաղարշակ Հարությունյանը:
Անդրադառնալով Ադրբեջանի կողմից վերջերս ձեռք բերած հակաօդային և հակահրթիռային պաշտպանության «С-300 Ֆավորիտ» համակարգերին՝ Հարությունյանը նշեց․ - «Այո, դա լուրջ համակարգ է, բայց որպեսզի օգտագործվի որպես հակահրթիռային՝ բալիստիկ հրթիռային, պետք է ունենալ այլ հրթիռներ, որը Ռուսաստանը չի վաճառում որևէ մի պետության, որովհետև դա ընկնում է հակահրթիռային համակարգի արգելման մասին պայմանագրի տակ»:
Ըստ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարարի՝ օգոստոսի սկզբին հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին տեղի ունեցած բախումները ցույց տվեցին երկու բան․ հայկական բանակն անհամեմատ մարտունակ է ադրբեջանականից, և Ադրբեջանի ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարությանը պարզ դարձավ, որ իրենց գնած զինտեխնիկան չի օգնում լուծել իրենց խնդիրները:
«Ադրբեջանական կողմը հասկացավ, որ այն զենքը, որ ձեռք է բերել, այն գործողությունները, որ իրենք պլանավորել են, իրենց նպատակին չեն հասել: Հայկական բանակը մարտունակ է, և իրենք ի վիճակի չեն լուծել իրենց առջև դրված խնդիրները, որովհետև որևէ մի հետախուզական-դիվերսիոն խումբ չի հասել իր նպատակին, էլ չեմ ասում իրենց կորուստների մասին», - ընդգծեց Հարությունյանը՝ շարունակելով, որ պատերազմի ընթացքում՝ 1990-ական թվականներին, Ադրբեջանում սխալմամբ կարծում էին, որ իրենք կհաղթեն, որովհետև ունեն նավթ և ավելի շատ զենք:
«Երբ Սովետական բանակը լուծարվեց, և իրենք ստացան զենք, իսկ իրենց տարածում եղել է զենք` զրահատեխնիկայի առումով՝ 5 անգամ ավելի, զինամթերքի տեսանկյունից՝ 25 անգամ ավելի, և իրենք միշտ հույսները կապում էին, որ շատ մեծ են, տնտեսական ներուժը ավելի մեծ է, ավելի շատ զենք-զինամթերք ունեն ու մտածում էին, որ հաղթանակ կտանեն և գնում էին ագրեսիվ գործողությունների և խուսափում որևէ բանակցություններից: Հիմա նույն կարգավիճակն է իրենց մոտ», - նշեց Հարությունյանը:
Խոսելով Ադրբեջանից հնչող այն հայտարարությունների մասին, թե իրենք ի վիճակի են Նախիջևանից հարվածներ հասցնել Երևանին՝ Վաղարշակ Հարությունյանը անլուրջ համարեց նման սպառնալիքը, որովհետև, ըստ նրա, դա ճանապարհ կբացի հակամարտությանը ՀԱՊԿ-ի միջամտելու համար, և սա Բաքվում հասկանում են:
«Ադրբեջանի նպատակը ընդամենը սահմանային դիվերսիաներ կազմակերպելն է և այդ միջոցով փորձել ճնշում գործադրել Հայաստանի նկատմամբ: Նա նպատակ չունի պատերազմ սկսելու: Նա հասկանում է, որ եթե պատերազմ սկսվեց, ինքը հաջողության չի հասնելու, դրա համար միջադեպեր է ստեղծում՝ հետախուզադիվերսիոն խմբեր է օգտագործում․ էդ չափը չի անցնում, որից հետո սկսվում է պատերազմը», - ասաց Վաղարշակ Հարությունյանը:
Նրա խոսքով՝ այս բախումների արդյունքում գնահատվում է բանակի մարտունակությունը, իսկ սահմանային վերջին միջադեպերից հետո հայկական բանակը ցույց տվեց, որ ինքը զգոն է և մարտունակ և «էս տարիների ընթացքում որպես բանակ ունեցել է զարգացում»:
