Հանդիպումների ժամանակ ում հետ խոսում ես, ասում է՝ երկիրն անտեր է մնացել ու դրանից վատ բան չկա: Այս մասին Արագածոտնի մարզի քաղաքացիների եւ «Հայաստան» դաշինքի ներկայացուցիչների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ նշեց ՀՀ երկրորդ նախագահ, «Հայաստան» դաշինքը գլխավորող Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը:

«Եթե ընտանիքում այդ զգացողությունը գալիս է, ընտանիքի քայքայման պրոցես է սկսվում: Եթե երկրի մասշտաբով է այդ զգացողությունը, ուրեմն քո երկրի քայքայման գործընթացն է սկսվել: Մենք պետք է կարողանանք հունիսի 20-ից հետո վերականգնենք տեր ունենալու զգացողությունը, որ Հայաստանն անտեր չի: Մենք ներկայացրել ենք մեր ծրագրերը, այն թիմը, որով գալիս ենք ծայրահեղ ծանր խնդիրները լուծելու համար: Ինչ էլ անենք, ինչ սիրուն ծրագրեր էլ գրենք, առանց ձեր մասնակցության օդում կախված է մնալու»,-ասաց նա:

Անդրադառնալով հարցին, թե ինչու «Հայրենիքի փրկության շարժումը» հաջողություն չունեցավ, եւ ինչու Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը չգլխավորեց այն, Քոչարյանն ասաց. «Այն ժամանակ ենթադրվում էր, որ խորհրդարանը պետք է ընտրի նոր վարչապետ մեկ տարվա կտրվածքով, որպես ժամանակավոր կառավարություն: Վազգեն Մանուկյանը հանդիպել էր այն ժամանակ ինձ հետ եւ առաջարկել էր ակտիվ մտնել այդ գործընթացի մեջ: Այն վիճակը չէր, որ նա շատ մեծ ցանկություն ուներ, նա ծանր պարտականություն ստանձնեց՝ մտնելով այդ պայքարի մեջ:

Իմ պատասխանը հետեւյալն էր. եթե փորձում ենք խորհրդարանով ընտրելու այլ մարդու, ապա ես վերջին մարդն եմ, որի համար այս խորհրդարանը կարող է ձայն տալ: Իրենք ինձնից վախենում են, բոլորս գիտենք: Ի դեպ, ճիշտ են անում:

Պետք էր՝ առաջադրել որպես շարժման ղեկավար մի մարդու, որին բանտում չեն պահել, որի վրա արհեստական գործեր չեն կարել, որին այդպիսի վատություններ չեն արել, որ հեշ լիներ այդ խնդրի լուծումը տալ:
