ՀՀ երկրորդ նախագահ, «Հայաստան» դաշինքի առաջնորդ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը Թալինի բնակիչների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ պրիմիտիվ դեբիլություն անվանեց որդուն գերիների հետ փոխանակելու Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի գաղափարը:

Նա նշեց, որ գերիների հարցն ամենազգայուն հարցերից է: Ես հանդիպել եմ Գյումրիում գերիների ծնողների հետ: Ամոթ է, որ մինչ օրս ոչինչ հայտնի չէ, հայտնի չէ՝ որքան գերի եւ անհետ կորածներ կան: Նրանց ծնողները ծանր վիճակում են, նույնիսկ այդ հարցը քննարկելն է դժվար:

«Ինչ վերաբերում է գերիների վերադարձին, պետք է մեծացնել ճնշումն Ադրբեջանի վրա: Պահելով գերիներին՝ նրանք մեզնից ինչ-որ զիջումների են փորձում հասնել: Սակայն Ադրբեջանը պետք է հասկանա, որ դա անօգուտ է: Մենք ադրբեջանի վրա ավելի մեծ ճնշում ենք ակնկալում:

Անբարոյական եմ համարում, երբ պետության ղեկավարը ոչինչ չի անում եւ ասում է, որ գերիները դեռ 2 ամիս կարող են գերություն մեջ մնալ: Եվ խոստանում է անել այս կամ այն գործողությունը:

Մենք միջնադարում չենք ապրում: Բոլորը հասկանում են, որ դա էժան պոպուլիստական հնարք է: Ինչպե՞ս եք դա պատկերացնում 21-րդ դարում: Դա պրիմիտիվ դեբիլություն է: Փորձում եմ կոռեկտ լինել, սակայն երբեմն պետք է ճիշտ արտահայտություններ անել: Սա այն դեպքն է, երբ խոսքը դեբիլության մասին է»,-ասաց Քոչարյանը:
