Հայաստանին զենք մատակարարող Դավիթ Գալստյանը, ով առավել հայտնի է «Պատրոն Դավո» մականունով հայտարարություն է տարածել, որում մասնավորապես ասվում է.

Հարգելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,
Այսօր նախ ադրբեջանական, այնուհետև նաև հայաստանյան մամուլով տարածվեցին տեղեկություններ առ այն, որ Ադրբեջանի Հանրապետության դատախազությունը իմ նկատմամբ հարուցել է քրեական գործ՝ մաքսանենգ օդային ճանապարհով ապօրինի զենք-զինամթերք մատակարարելու դեպքի առթիվ. այդ գործով ինձ ներգրավվել են որպես մեղադրյալ և հայտարարել միջազգային հետախուզում։ ​
Կարծում եմ՝ բոլորի համար պարզ են նշված քրեական գործի շինծու հիմքերը և դրա նպատակները։
Ի լուր աշխարհի հայտարարում եմ, որ ես երբեք որևէ անօրինական եղանակով զենքի մատակարարում չեմ իրականացրել: Բոլոր մատակարարումները կատարվել են զենքի առևտրային հարաբերություններում գործող միջազգային պահանջների և չափորոշիչների խստիվ պահպանմամբ։
Ցավում եմ, որ ինչպես պատերազմից առաջ, այնպես էլ դրանից հետո Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում բարոյականությունից զուրկ և ոլորտից բացարձակ գիտելիքներ չունեցող Ազգային ժողովի պատգամավորներ, պետական պաշտոնյաներ, հասարակական կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչներ, ինչպես նաև նախկին և ներկա այլ պաշտոնյաներ հրապարակայնորեն սկսեցին կեղծ տեղեկություններ տարածել իմ և իմ գործունեության մասին, որից հետո իմ նկատմամբ սկսվեց քրեական հետապնդում: Այդ անձանց ազդեցությամբ իրավապահ և դատական համակարգի համատեղ ջանքերով ես շուրջ 4 ամիս գտնվում էի անազատության մեջ։ Ակնհայտ դիտավորությամբ և մանիպուլյացիաների միջոցով կեղծ տեղեկություններ սկսվեցին տարածվել նաև տարբեր լրատվական հարթակներում և պետական մարմինների պաշտոնական կայքերում։ Հենց այդ տեղեկություններից օգտվելով, դրանց հղումեր անելով էլ Ադրբեջանի Հանրապետությունն այժմ կեղծ և շինծու քրեական գործերի միջոցով փորձ է անում ամեն գնով խոչընդոտել Հայաստան զենքի մատակարարումը։ Չնայած մեր բոլոր նախազգուշացումներին, իրավապահ համակարգը շարունակում է իրականացնել քրեական հետապնդում՝ սահմանափակելով իմ ազատ տեղաշարժման իրավունքը։ Այս ամենից իհարկե չէր կարող չօգտվել Ադրբերջանը, որը փորձ է անում նաև իր կեղտոտ խաղերի և ծուղակների մեջ ներքաշել հայ խոշոր գործարարներին՝ թիրախավորելով հայկական բիզնեսը արտերկրում։
​Անկախ իմ նկատմամբ ինչպես Ադրբեջանում, այնպես էլ Հայաստանում իրականացվող ապօրինի քրեական հետապնդումներից և ճնշումներից՝ ես հրապարակային հայտարարում եմ, որ շարունակելու եմ անմնացորդ նվիրումով ծառայել իմ հայրենիքին, իմ հնարավորությունների ամբողջ ներուժով նպաստել հայրենիքիս հզորացմանը։
