782 մ.թ.ա. - Արգիշտի թագավորը հիմնադրել է Երևանը:

1813- Ղարաբաղի Գյուլիստան գյուղում կնքվել է ռուս-պարսկական հաշտության պայմանագիրը, որի համաձայն, Շիրակը, Լոռին, Ղազախը, Շամշադինը, Զանգեզուրը, Կապանը և Ղարաբաղը անցել են Ռուսաստանի տիրապետության տակ:

1854 –ծնվել է գրող և հրապարակախոս Դիանա Աբգարը, որը եղել է աշխարհում առաջին կին դիվանագետը և Հայաստանի դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցիչը Հեռավոր Արևելքում (Ճապոնիա)։

1882 –ծնվել է ամերիկահայ գրականագետ Հովհաննես Ավագյանը:

1886- ծնվել է ֆիզիոլոգ Արշակ Հակոբյանը:

1907 – ծնվել է բանաստեղծ, թարգմանիչ Վազգեն Տալյանը:

1926 – ծնվել է ֆուտբոլիստ և մարզիչ Նիկիտա (Մկրտիչ) Սիմոնյանը:

1928– ծնվել է աշխարհահռչակ դուդուկահար Ջիվան Գասպարյանը։

1938 –ծնվել է կինոռեժիսոր, սցենարիստ և դերասան Ներսես Հովհաննիսյանը:

1953- ծնվել է հայազգի ռուսաստանցի լեզվաբան Բուրաստան Զուլումյանը:

1992– Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ազգային հավաքականը անցկացրել է իր առաջին միջազգային խաղը Մոլդովայի հետ։

2001- Երևանում անցկացվել է շախմատի աշխարհի թիմային առաջնությունը:

2008- կայացել են տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների ընտրություններ Արարատի, Կոտայքի, Սյունիքի և Վայոց ձորի մարզերի 282 համայնքում:

2012 –վախճանվել է Երուսաղեմի Հայոց պատրիարք Թորգոմ արքեպիսկոպոս Մանուկյանը:

2013 –վախճանվել է ամերիկաբնակ հեռուստահաղորդավար Ստեփան Քիրեմիջյանը:

ԱՇԽԱՐՀ

539 մ.թ.ա.-պարսկական զորքերը գրավել են Բաբելոնը:

1285 – Մյունխենում քրիստոնեություն ընդունելուց հրաժարվելու համար մահապատժի է ենթարկվել 180 հրեա:

1492– ըստ ավանդույթի, այս օրը Քրիստափոր Կոլումբոսը, ափ իջնելով Բահամյան Կղզիներում, հավատացած է եղել, որ հասել է Արևել յան Հնդկաստան, իսկ իրականում հայտնաբերել է Ամերիկան։

1787- ռուս-թուրքական պատերազմի ժամանակ Սուվորովի ղեկավարած ռուսական բանակը Կինբուրգյան պարանոցում ջախջախել է թուրքական դեսանտը:

1792 – Նյու Յորքում առաջին անգամ նշվել է Կոլումբոսի օրը:

1871 -ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Ուիլիս Գրանտը արգելել է Կու-Կլուքս-Կլան կազմակերպությունը և հրամայել ձերբակալել դրա ղեկավարներին:
