«Այլընտրանքային նախագծեր» խումբը ներկայացնում է Էլինար Վարդանյանի հոդվածը․

«Նախագահ Ռ.Քոչարյանի ասուլիսից տարբեր մարդիկ տարբեր հատվածներ են առանձնացնում՝ անվտանգության իրական պատկերը , բանակի լրջագույն խնդիրները, երկիրը տգիտության և իրավական բեսպրեդելի բաստիոնի վերածելը, դիվանագիտական այլասերումը, Հայաստան-Թուրքիա հարաբերությունները, երկրի սոցիալ-տնտեսական խնդիրները՝ տնտեսության անկում, գնաճ, ինդեքսացիա։ Սա խոսում է ասուլիսի՝ հաջողված լինելու մասին. յուրաքանչյուրն արձանագրում է համընդհանուր և անհատական հետաքրքրություն ունեցող դրույթները։

Բայց ես ուզում եմ շեշտը դնել նախագահի ձևակերպումների վրա, որոնք վերաբերում էին Արցախին։ Երկու օր առաջ Փաշինյանն, ըստ էության, հայտարարեց, որ Հայաստանն այլևս Արցախի երաշխավորը չէ, կասկածի տակ դնելով Արցախի հայկականությունը, ինքնորոշման իրավունքը։ Քոչարյանն արձանագրեց հակառակը՝ պետք է ձգտել վերականգնել գոնե ԼՂԻՄ-ի տարածքային ամբողջականությունը, ամենավատ բանը չփորձելն է, ամեն օր քայլ անելով, ամեն օր քարը քարին դնելով, հնարավոր չէ ինչ-որ տեղ, ինչ-որ չափով հաջողություն չունենալ։

Սա կարևոր ուղերձ էր հասարակությանը՝ դրդել մտածել դժվար հարցի շուրջ։ Մենք չենք կարող տրվել Փաշինյանի ակնհայտ ստերին, բանակցային գործընթացի միտումնավոր կեղծումներին, որով նա Շուշին հայտարարում է ադրբեջանական քաղաք և ճանաչում է Արցախը Ադրբեջանի կազմում։ Մենք չենք կարող անընդհատ փախչել բարդ հարցերի բարձրացումից. ի՞նչ է լինելու Արցախի ճակատագիրը, ինչպե՞ս ենք վերականգնելու մեր անվտանգությունը։ Այս հարցերից խուսափել մենք չենք կարող։ Հուսալ, որ ժամանակի ընթացքում այս հարցերը կմոռացվեն կամ պետք է թողնվեն ինքնահոսի, անլուրջ է։

Եվ մի պարզ նկատառում, որը չի վրիպել մարդկանց ուշադրությունից. սովորաբար սառնասիրտ և բարձր ինքնատիրապետմամբ Ռ. Քոչարյանը Արցախի ճակատագրի և Հայաստանի անվտանգության մասին խոսելիս դժվար էր զսպում զայրույթը, չէր կարողանում թաքցնել պոռթկումը, որ դեռ շատ բան հնարավոր է փոխել, որ պետք չէ հաշտվել պարտված ու նվաստացված ազգի կարգավիճակին։ Միասին մենք կարող ենք։ Արժանապատվության դրոշի տակ մենք կարող ենք համախմբվել ու գրագետ կառավարմամբ փոխել պատմության ընթացքը»։
