Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին հայտարարել է, որ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը ցանկանում է ոչնչացնել Ուկրաինան, սակայն ուկրաինացի զինվորականները արժանի հակահարված են տալիս: Այս մասին Երկրի ղեկավարն ասել է Facebook սոցիալական ցանցում տեսաուղերձի ժամանակ ։

Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ Ուկրաինային "գրոհում են ոչ միայն ռումբերը, այլեւ ֆեյքերը":

"Կարեւոր է ճշմարտությունը ստանալ պաշտոնական աղբյուրներից։ Այսօր Ռուսաստանը ներխուժել է Ուկրաինա։ Պուտինը պատերազմ է սկսել Ուկրաինայի, ամբողջ ժողովրդավարական աշխարհի դեմ։ Նա ուզում է ոչնչացնել իմ պետությունը։ Նա ուզում է ոչնչացնել մեր պետությունը եւ այն ամենը, ինչ մենք կառուցել ենք,  հանուն ինչի՝ մենք ապրում ենք", - նշել է Զելենսկին։

Միևնույն ժամանակ, պետության ղեկավարը դիմել է բոլոր ուկրաինացիներին և առաջին հերթին ուկրաինացի զինվորականներին, որոնք "արդեն իրենց վրա են վերցրել թշնամու առաջին հարվածը և արժանի հակահարված են տալիս":

"Մենք գիտենք Ուկրաինայի Զինված ուժերի ողջ ներուժը։ Դուք խիզախ եք և խրոխտ։ Դուք ուկրաինացիներ եք", - ասել է Զելենսկին ։

Նա կոչ է արել բոլոր ուկրաինացիներին խուճապի չմատնվել եւ ամեն ինչ անել Ուկրաինայի ԶՈՒ-ին աջակցելու համար, հաղորդում է Ունիան լրատվական գործակալությունը։
