Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Զինված ուժերի նախարար Ջեյմս Հեփփին երեկ գտնվել է Բաքվում։ Ջեյմս Հեփփին հանդիպել է Ադրբեջանի արտգործնախարարի, պաշտպանության նախարարի և նախագահ՝ Իլհամ Ալիևի հետ։ Ի թիվս այլ հարցերի քննարկել են նաև Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում հետկոնֆլիկտային իրավիճակում ստեղծված իրադրությունը։ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Զինված ուժերի նախարարը նախօրեին եղել է նաև Վրաստանում։ Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն նա, իհարկե, չի այցելելու։ Այս առումով իրավիճակը չափազանց ուշագրավ է։

Սովորաբար եվրոպական երկրների պաշտոնյաները հարավկովկասյան տարածաշրջան այցելելուց այցելում են երեք պետություններ՝ Վրաստան, Ադրբեջան, Հայաստան։ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Զինված ուժերի նախարարի այցը ուշագրավ է այնքանով, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան այլևս որևէ հետաքրքրություն չունի Հայաստանում։ Այդ երկիրը եվրոպական երկրների մեջ առաջատարն է հակառուսական տրամադրություններով, հակառուսական պատժամիջոցներով, և Ադրբեջան կատարած նրա այցը, ընդ որում Հայաստանի և Արցախի դեմ իրավիճակի սրման ֆոնին, լուրջ մտորումների տեղիք է տալիս։ Ադրբեջանը վերջին օրերին բացարձակապես դուրս է եկել ռուսական վերահսկողությունից, և բրիտանական նախարարի այցը վկայում է, որ այդ ամենը կապ ունի նաև այդ երկրի արտաքին քաղաքական օրակարգերի հետ։
