Ապրիլի 18-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում հյուրընկալել է Հայկական Բարեգործական Ընդհանուր Միության նախագահ տիար Պերճ Սեդրակյանին, հայտնում են Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգից:

«Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը և ՀԲԸՄ նախագահն անդրադարձան հայրենական և ազգային կյանքում առկա մարտահրավերներին և դրանց հաղթահարմանն ուղղված Հայոց Եկեղեցու և տարբեր ազգային հաստատությունների կողմից ձեռնարկվող կրթական, սոցիալական և զարգացման ծրագրերին:

Զրույցի ընթացքում խոսվեց Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածնի և ՀԲԸՄ երկարամյա համագործակցության մասին, որն արդյունավորվել է բազում օզգօգուտ և եկեղեցաշեն ծրագրերով։ Այս առիթով Վեհափառ Հայրապետն իր օրհնությունն ու բարեմաղթանքները բերեց ՀԲԸՄ նախագահ Պերճ Սեդրակյանին՝ բարձրորեն գնահատելով Միության կողմից դրսևորվող ոգին ու գիտակցությունը և Մայր Աթոռին ու Հայոց Եկեղեցու աշխարհասփյուռ թեմերին ցուցաբերվող շարունակական զորակցությունը։

Ազգի առջև ծառացած արդի խնդիրներին հանդիման Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը և ՀԲԸՄ նախագահը հատկապես կարևորեցին երիտասարդ սերնդի կրթությանն ու հայեցի դաստիարակությանը, ազգային ինքության պահպանությանն ու ազգային ոգու զորացմանը ուղղված ծրագրերի խթանումը։

Մասնավոր անդրադարձ կատարվեց Արցախի շուրջ մտահոգիչ զարգացումներին, Արցախի ազատ ու անկախ կյանքի դեմ ոտնձգություններին և արցախցիների կյանքում առկա դժվարություններին։ Ընդգծվեց անհրաժեշտությունը համազգային հետևողական ջանքերի գործադրման ի նպաստ Արցախի մեր ժողովրդի իրավունքների պաշտպանության և խնդիրների հաղթահարման։

Հանդիպման ընթացքում Նորին Սրբություն Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը և ՀԲԸՄ նախագահ Պերճ Սեդրակյանն արծարծեցին մի շարք հարցեր, որոնք վերաբերում էին սփյուռքի համայնքային կյանքին, ձևավորվող նոր համայնքներին, հայապահպանության խնդիրներին, ինչպես նաև երիտասարդության ազգային և հոգևոր պատշաճ խնամատարության և սփյուռքի ազգային կառույցների և հաստատությունների զորացման կարևորությանը։ Կարևոր նկատվեց սփյուռքի ներուժի գնահատումը և համակարգված ծառայեցումը աշխարհասփյուռ համայնքների ազգային կյանքի աշխուժացմանը և հայրենական կյանքի առաջընթացին և բարօրությանը։ Քննարկվեցին հնարավոր ուղիները, որոնցով Եկեղեցին և ՀԲԸՄ կարող են սփյուռքին և հատկապես երիտասարդությանը ներգրավել հայրենիքի հզորացմանն ուղղված ծրագրերում և նախաձեռնություններում»։
