44-օրյա պատերազմում զոհված Հայկազ Մկրտչյանի հայրը՝ Զավեն Մկրտչյանը, որը հազարավոր քաղաքացիների հետ երեկ ներկա էր ընդդիմության երթին, այսօր Ֆրանսիայի հրապարակում հրավիրված հանրահավաքի ժամանակ պատմեց, թե ինչպես են ոստիկանության սևբերետավորները բռնի ուժ կիրառել կառավարական ամառանոցի մոտ իր նկատմամբ, այն դեպքում, երբ ինքը որևէ գործողություն անելիս չի եղել, և իր հագին եղել է նահատակված որդու նկարով շապիկը։

«Նայելով ոստիկանների աչքերին, ասացի՝ այս տղան հազարավոր թուրք է սպանել, ու նայում էի իրենց։ Ես զգացի, իրենք նայում էին Հայկազիս աչքերին ու հասկանում էին, թե ով է իրենց դիմաց կանգնած։ Հանկարծ իրենց հետևից սև համազգեստով, սևբերետավորը վազեց վրաս, բռնեց ձեռքիցս և անմիջապես քաշեց իրենց ոհմակի մեջ, որտեղ մնացած սևբերետավորներն էին։ Երբ ես ընկա այդ ոհմակի մեջ, վայրկյանական պատռեցին տղայիս նկարով շապիկը, զգում էի, որ վայրկյանում 10 հարված էի ստանում գլխիս, գլուխս իջեցրին ներքև ու ես զգում էի, թե ինչքան հարված եմ ստանում տարբեր կողմերից, մարմնիս տարբեր մասերին։ Առանձնակի դաժանությամբ այդ հարվածների ուժգնությունը ես գլխիս վրա էի զգում։ Ասում էի՝ ես հերոսի պապա եմ, էս ի՞նչ եք անում, ասացին՝ հենց դրա համար էլ ծեծում ենք․․․ Ասացի՝ ի՞նչ եմ ես ձեզ արել, որ նման կերպ եք վարվում, պատասխանեցին՝ սո՛ւս մնա, թե չէ ձեռքերդ կջարդենք…»,- պատմեց նահատակված զինծառայողի հայրը։

Անդրադառնալով հաճախ հնչող և արդեն կարգախոս դարձած՝ «Առանց Նիկոլ Հայաստան» ձևակերպմանը, զոհված զինծառայողի հայրն ասաց, որ իրենք՝ զոհված զինծառայողների ծնողները, համաձայն չեն այդ կարգախոսին։ Փաշինյանը պետք է մնա Հայաստանում և իր պատիժ կրի այստեղ․

«Նիկոլն իր պատիժը պետք է կրի հերոսների հայրերի ձեռով հատուկ կահավորված զնդանում։ Այդ զնդանը պետք է կահավորված լինի զոհերի նկարներով, 24 ժամ լսի այդ զոհերի անունները և տեսնի այդ նկարները․․․»։
